Good but lacking pizzazz - Edit
I love healthy salads and bowls, so Recess should be right up my alley, but I rarely go there or remember it exists. I'm not sure what it is about the place. I enjoy it, but it doesn't stand out to me. I go to Sweetgreen or Upbeet instead.

This restaurant has been a life saver between traveling. It was so good to get fresh healthy and tasty food after being on the road.
Read moreI had the Tom Cruise bowl with Brussels and it was just delicious!
On another occasion I had the harvest moon salad with fried tofu and that was absolutely amazing too. The turmeric cabbage was a great taste experience. The tofu was a bit boring. Both was take away and the staff were super friendly.
It took about 10 minutes to prepare. I would come back in a heartbeat.

This place is sooo darn good. I've never had such well seasoned tofu and incentive flavor combinations. This has become my take out go to and the seasonal menu ensures there is always something new to try

I think Recess has some of the best vegan options at Krog St. Market, especially if you’re looking for something on the healthier side. I’ve most recently been really into their bowls, though their vegan sandwich is also great.
