Creative, but could do better - Edit
I adore the creativity of the vegan efforts of their 6-weekly menus. I believe they used to only do a vegetarian version of the regular menu, which they'd adapt for vegans on request, but now just do a vegan one published in advance. Bookings in advance are definitely necessary, at least a week if you want a time between 5pm and 9pm.
Read moreI downgraded them a three (from a non-vegan restaurant four) because twice now the dessert has not been provided as advertised - last menu it was meant to be praline ice cream and instead it was vanilla, and this time it was meant to be the blood orange sorbet and they gave us the irn bru one. So, they have given me trust issues. Secondly, because they had no vegan version of the menu printed out and it had been on for 2 weeks already so not like they had no time to prep.

Such a great fine dining experience and delicious food - Edit
For our last night in Glasgow, I wanted to take my partner somewhere a bit more fancy and to have a great experience. Six by Nico is just that! It’s a six course menu tasting for a decent price (£37 pound) with a theme, which is currently “Down The Rabbit Hole” (Alice in Wonderland). For an additional £30 you get matching wine with every course. We decided to just order the aperitif drink and stick with (the free) water. There are also snacks off the menu which you could order.
Read moreEvery dish is introduced by the waiters upon arrival and waiters made sure we were having a good time. The portions look small, but believe me when I say I was already almost full by course four! You’ll leave Six by Nico completely satisfied and full.
You can bet it’s a popular restaurant (make sure you make a reservation upfront) and I did feel a bit rushed from time to time. But overall, it was such a great experience and the food was delicious. If you want to have fancy date night, I would recommend Six by Nico!
