Delicious Vegan Sushi - Edit
I had 2 friends join me for a late after 8pm dinner here and we ordered up a variety of sushi, noodle dishes and Miso soup. We thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Mango sushi-so good!
The menu also had a number of Noodle Rice and Thai dishes.
The restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. They had a steady business of take out orders.
Highly recommended!

This place does sushi and so much more! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone going to Toronto! They have vegan versions of salmon, shrimp/prawns, duck and many more! You have to get the duck! It is incredible!

We were too hungry to take a picture before digging in, but it looked as good as it tasted, which is high praise! The mock salmon in particular looked so real that if this wasn’t a fully vegan place, I would’ve been concerned they switched our orders up.

Inventive Sushi! - Edit
So inventive!! Vegan sushi at it’s finest! They do use fake meats, which is such a nice change of pace from just your regular ol’ veggie roll (however they also have veggie rolls and other dishes than sushi!) 1000000% recommend if you’re in Toronto. I forgot to take photos until we were finished, but they still look so good. I think my favorite was the spicy tempura broccoli? But they were all so good!

It was so fun to be able to order from such a different menu than what we have available in my city with the amazing Asian options that Tenon offers. The menu is extensive and it was overwhelmingly exciting to choose from options that we have never been able to choose from when it comes to veg food. While it was so pretty to look at and to be able to share those pictures with omnis as inspiration, it definitely was not my favorite meal when it came to flavor or quantity from our trip to Toronto. The fried shrimp was my favorite portion of the meal, though my partner who has had shrimp said that the flavor did not compare. But that didn’t matter much to me! The sushi my partner ordered was very great and flavorful but my sushi, did not have that much flavor and was honestly a little boring. Even though we ordered an appetizer along with our meal and I ordered one of the options that came with more rolls, The meal was not as filling as what I had hoped.

Amazing vegan sushi selection - Edit
I was almost overwhelmed with the amount of choice at this place! We had the crispy avocado roll, the green dragon that everyone was raving about (I think that’s what it was called), sushi pizza and a tenon hand roll. The tenon hand roll ended up being our favourite thing there and we wished we had gotten a regular size roll of it! So good and it’s almost impossible to go wrong here.

So many choices ! I wanted to order the entire menu. I ended up choosing the vegan duck (comes with nicely prepared veggies), Tenon special roll, red dragon, green dragon, and pad Thai. I’d skip the pad Thai next time, but all the rest was delicious. Even my discerning non-vegan Chinese grandmother was impressed, especially by the duck.

AFAIK the only wholly vegan sushi joint in town, though they also randomly sell Thai dishes. The prices are okay, not great or terrible. The mock items don’t list ingredients, which is kind of a miff and is a pain to ask about everything, especially when there was a bit of language barrier.
Read moreGot the red dragon and tenon special rolls for two, which wasn’t quite enough food for me (and I don’t eat a lot). They were pretty tasty, but the latter wasn’t cut properly and was also thoroughly warm. Sushi should never be warm, ever, sorry.

After reading other reviews, I was very eager to try Tenon for the first time. Perhaps my expectations were too high, or maybe I just ate there on an evening that was not their best - I'm not sure, but I found the food lacked flavour compared with similar vegan sushi restaurants. To be clear, everything was very fresh and the portions were generous. The Soy Beef Yaki U-don was mainly a lot of noodles with very little else and utterly bland. The rolls were much better. We liked the Dynamite Roll the best and the Thai Roll a distant second. I would go back, but try different dishes next time.

We ordered 5 rolls, the tempura and the vegan pizza. It was a lot for two people and we ended up with lunch for the next day haha so be mindful that the rolls are bog when you order! But it was absolutely delicious and we are certainly coming back :)

We got the bento boxes A & D & general tsao soy chick'n and it didn't disappoint! Loved the vegan sashimi (wish there was more!) & all the rolls from combo A! I believe it was spider maki, california & green dragon rolls & the rest of the sashimi was meh.

They're sushi platters/combos are good, mock duck was also good. Tempura was too oily, Thai dish (peanut tofu) was too bland, that one was a definite no from me dawg. The spinach on the side was good though.

Love the fact we have a vegan sushi place now. Quality is pretty good but rice could be a little (just slightly) better. They are sometimes very slow with orders too but overall awesome place and I will go again.

Read moreI’ve been vegan for almost 2 years (anniversary is in November), and I hate to admit this, but I still get sushi cravings and this place satisfies them -especially the Salmon sushi? One (vegan) would think they’re eating the real one! The beef udon with veggies is pretty good too.
