Ordered a party platter from here once with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday? A new job? Don't remember. Either way, the sushi from here was fantastic and worth every penny. Shout-out to their vegan salmon - we have no idea how they made it, but it was so close to real salmon I don't know if I could guess it wasn't without knowing ahead of time!
Read moreThe value per dollar doesn't seem to be the greatest - we definitely feel like we're paying a "vegan tax" over a non-vegan sushi place, so it's reserved for special occasions. However, it never disappoints on those occasions.

Imagine a vegan world... - Edit
I didn't think too much about a vegan sushi restaurant before this place opened. Being middle age, I have spent a good chunk of my life making do with veg/vegan food served at restaurants that sell meat.

So Tenon is like entering an alternate universe where everything is vegan. They mock up all these different kinds of sushi I never got eat, and didn't even contemplate, because they had fish in them.
I randomly chose items and I wasn't disappointed. Everything looked great and tasted great. My partner was a big fish sushi eater and he was also impressed.

After becoming vegan I was always craving my sushi. Tenon sushi has filled that void and wow simply spectacular vegan sushi.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time on NYE. I placed my order online in the afternoon via UberEats for delivery at 7:30 pm. I got a notification at 6:30 pm that the order was being prepared. About 30 minutes later I got a notification that the order had been cancelled by the restaurant. I tried calling them several times and no one answered. I left them a voice mail message and still haven't received a response. I went back to UberEats to check if the items I ordered were sold-out and they weren't. Not a good 1st experience and it messed up our NYE dinner plans. I won't be returning.

Best vegan sushi in Toronto - Edit
If you want the best vegan sushi in Toronto, you've found it. There are so many options, the staff are incredibly kind, and it really tastes like sushi! I was happy to finally have a salmon roll after years and my boyfriend got to try his very first California roll. This is an outpost of Tenon Vegetarian Cuisine in Richmond Hill.
