Great food and... - Edit
The staff were friendly and the food was flavorful. Inside dining was "compact". Outside looked nice but it was wind and cool so we opted for inside dining. The lights went off and had to be reset three times while we ate. The staff treated this like it was familiar. My one big concern was the sketchy neighborhood and narrow alleyways. Waiting for a Bolt ride to leave afterwards was uncomfortable. It required walk a ways to a real street. Bolt had to try several drivers to get us a ride. Fortunately, it wasn't dark out yet!
Read morePros: Loved the food. Tasty and reasonably priced., Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Cons: The very sketchy neighborhood

Gostosinho - Edit

A Culinary Journey Through Lisbon – Five Courses of Vegan Perfection at Food Temple - Edit
Food Temple delivered an absolutely unforgettable dining experience that completely redefined our expectations of vegan cuisine. We opted for the five-course tasting menu, and from the very first bite to the last sweet indulgence, every dish was a masterpiece of creativity and flavor.
Read moreThe evening began with a comforting bowl of Caldo Verde, the traditional Portuguese soup elevated with vegan chorizo and crispy cabbage – a perfect warm introduction to what lay ahead. The second course was a beautifully arranged tasting plate featuring one piece of each: a delicate Jackfruit Tartelette with silky tofu and spinach cream, a crispy Cheesy Tapioca cube with balsamic pearls, a vibrant Mini Taco packed with sautéed seitan, and an elegant Eggplant & Sun Dried Tomato Roll with breaded sushi rice – four distinct textures and flavors in one harmonious course.
The third course brought a generous serving of Pumpkin & Cauliflower – marinated cauliflower resting on pumpkin coconut milk and ginger puree with black rice and crispy onions, as visually striking as it was delicious. Then came the wonderful surprise: an off-menu Beetroot Risotto that wasn't even on the regular menu, creamy and rich and absolutely divine.
We concluded with both desserts: a decadent Sweet Potato Brownie with salty peanut caramel and a refreshing Creamy Lemon & Lavender Raw Cake. Throughout the meal, we enjoyed a lemon & mate soda and a strawberry kombucha that complemented the food perfectly. Five courses of pure vegan artistry – we couldn't have asked for a better culinary experience in Lisbon.

Wow, what a nice place - Edit
When I came here, the waiter took his time, to explain everything on the menu, which isnt big, but has excellent food and changes regularly. I must admit I was sceptical about some of the ingredients first, but was swept away by the taste and how lovingly everything was arranged. Just one thing: please get rid of the incense sticks, the gave me a headache. I understand its because the kitchen is directly included in the guestroom, but maybe there are other options for good air?

Cons: The incense sticks!!!, For wheelchairs it is almost impossible to reach

First night in Lisbon - Edit
We’d read about this place on HC and decided to go track it down. It’s a bit of a ‘treasure hunt’ to find but well worth it! Initially we were the first customers of the night but it soon began to fill up. It’s not the biggest restaurant in the world so a reservation would be advised if you’re dining any later than 20:00. Our waiter was more than attentive and made us feel very welcome and took the time to explain the menu and its seasonal changes for November/December.
Read moreWe chose to go with the tasting menu which consisted of seven smaller versions of each option on the menu. Each one was prepared and cooked impeccably by the two chefs working that night. The chefs seemed to work in a quiet and professional manner as little communication between them was noticed…… They didn’t need to!
The kitchen is open and intimate, you can watch them preparing and cooking the food. The whole place has a lovely intimate vibe to it and we would throughly recommend trying this place if you’re looking for something a little different to the normal plant based options.
Pros: The food was amazing!, The atmosphere was intimate, The staff we’re knowledgeable and welcoming
Cons: The card machine wasn’t operational so needed cash

An excellent experience at an excellent restaurant!! - Edit
We ate here for dinner and it was one of the best meals of our trip. Arriving when the restaurant opened, they were not quite prepared for us inside, so we sat on the steps until we could be seated. We started with a carafe of fresh red sangria and the Appetizer Set. Because they had no DIP, we were allowed to double up on the Caprese and that was by far the best thing in the set. If possible, I would recommend ordering nothing but the Caprese! it's THAT good!
Read moreAfter the appetizer, we proceeded with the tasting menu. It was a lot of food and it was great to be able to try a lot of things on the regular menu, but in smaller portions. Some were winners and some we could have skipped, but we were able to try them, regardless. It was also fascinating to watch the kitchen in action. For being such a small space and with so many diners (the place got packed), the chefs did an excellent job keeping up with service.
I would highly recommend a visit and if nothing else, ORDER THE CAPRESE!!!
Pros: Tasting menu allows trying many of the dishes, Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Can get crowded inside

The food was tasty, creative and the atmosphere outside was great. You must book the tasting menu ahead, however if you miss out, the menu to choose from is great regardless and the plate sizes are small enough that you can choose a few different things to try.
