Offers a vegan chocolate flapjack, chocolate vegan cupcakes and choice of plant milks for coffee. Ask about the breads. Open Tue-Sat 09:00-13:00.
Closed Sun-Mon.
Got up early to get down to the TB so as to miss the queue. Alas a modest line had already amassed. Looking through the shop front I made a mental note of what I wanted. I counted the greasy coins in my trembling hands, as a bead of sweat trickled down my forehead. My turn in the, literally tiny, bakery had already nearly arrived and I still hadn’t finalised my order. At the doorway I looked on helplessly as the lady in front crowed “and a vegan coffee croissant”. The last one was whipped from the display cabinet and stuffed into a paper bag.
The pillar of my plans destroyed and my turn in the spotlight having arrived, my buckling legs took an unwilling step into the shop on autopilot, though my senses told me to flee. My empty brain was like a smashed coconut, all it’s powers leaking out in a creamy milk. Suddenly a tray of freshly baked vegan croissants arrived and my licked forefinger sizzled on my buttock. The woman that had been before me scowled in fury as she saw my luck and recounted her pyrrhic victory all the way home.
Everything in the Tiny Bakery is excellent. A must visit for any discerning follower of the veganese diet.
Not loads of vegan options but what they do they do well. I've been obsessed with the strawberry and custard croissant. Hope they bring the special back again soon!
This place is very small, 3 stools in the window and space for about 2 people to queue at the counter. Good place to get a coffee and a cake but expect to take it away
