Cute cafe - Edit
Really cute cafe with nice outdoor seating. The avocado and cashew cheese on toast was very tasty and the burger was great too. I loved the chocolate rum ball for dessert.

Skuffende - Edit
Tja.

A bit disappointing - Edit
I tried the danish tiramisu for the first time. The first layer was just dry biscuit cake, could not quite figure out the second layer (banana maybe?), third layer was a lot of cream without any special taste and a layer of marzipan and cacao on top.

The ambience was nice and staff also.

Pretty darn good - Edit
This place was a reasonable walking distance from my hotel so I figured I would check it out. I came in for a pastry and a coffee. It’s a comfortable little place with plenty of seating. I don’t know if it was just the time I was here or if it’s an indication of how their business is going, but they didn’t seem to have a lot of inventory of pastries and baked goods. I hope they are OK. Edit: The guy that served me was the owner. He said that business was very slow.
Read moreI got a “Kartoffelkage,” which was recommended to me by the guy behind the counter (the owner). He told me that this is a very common danish pastry. It was very good.

Got to try danish food - Edit
We tried to find some vegan danish food and couldn’t find it anywhere but here. Got to try smorrebrod and a dessert I can’t even spell. They were pretty good, would come back, though at least this time of year they don’t have a lot of options.

We had cake and drinks here, and the vegan cakes were delicious, they have such a great range of sweet treats and really some of the best vegan desserts I have ever tasted. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside eating cake on a sunny day!

Verstecktes veganes Café in Kopenhagens Westen - Edit

Breakfast & Brunch, saturdaymorning - Edit
We felt like the first customers at around 9:45 am that Saturday. We ordered a 'breakfast', a 'brunch' and hot drinks and asked to sit outside. The waiter quickly unchained the tables and wiped them for us. Sitting outside in the morning sun was super nice!
Read moreThe pancakes (one in each menu) were kind of underwhelming: weirdly soft 'imner circle' and a crispy edge. I'm not sure how fresh it was. (Apart from that I expected a think pancake, but they were more like crêpe, but just not as thin or smooth. But I guess that's just personal preference.)
The pastry (from the 'breakfast') was good, nothing special. When we saw it inside, it was the only one of this sort (making us think, it might have been from the last day?).
The bun ('brunch') was soft on the outside and a bit dry on the inside, but we had enough butter.
The jam was very good, as was the yoghurt ('breakfast') and also the "scrambled egg" ('brunch') with mushrooms and two big pieces of "bacon" was well seasoned and tasty.
We didn't leave hungry but not as full as we had expected for this price tag.
Pros: outdoor sitting, scramled egg from brunch
Cons: rather pricey, baked goods didn't seem too fresh

Cheesecakes - Edit
Tried slices of the chocolate cheesecake and kiwi cheesecake. Both were good, but we'd probably try a lighter pastry next time. The chocolate was very rich, with a crust much thicker than I'm used to in the U.S. Generous slice size.

Hidden gem in CPH! - Edit
All vegan and so many options! I wanted a slice of cake, but was too full from brunch! The “egg” scramble was so innovative and tasty. Perfect combination of sweet and savory. I don’t know what kind of butter they use, but it is delicious!

Tasty food and YUGE coffees at fair prices - Edit
I had the brunch platter and was surprised by the quality and tastiness! While the size of the coffee could be seen as a plus, I wasn't expecting a ~0.4 l drink when I ordered a flat white, though.

Worst meal ever served - Edit
We had the Schnitzel, two pieces of smørrebrød and a slice of cake.
Read moreThe "schnitzel" turned out to be a burger-looking thing, and like the smørrebrød, it consisted of some fried freezer kept product, topped off with iceberg, tomato and cucumber. The veggies seemed to have been cut with a very dull scissor. The rye bread was 3cm thick and not proberly baked. Both mains where swimming in a tahini-like dressing. To call the food "smørrebrød" and "schnitzel" was an insult to both courses.
As for the cake, it was a very thick creamy coating and a very dry inner cake, looked good, tasted just boring. The service was very nice and polite.
Only two stars, since the app generates them by default.

We had the roasted chickpea bowl which was awesome and some lemon and blueberry cake for dessert. Everything was very nice. The building is old and the place has a cool atmosphere.

Virkelig lækker mad - Edit
Maden her er helt fantastisk.

We came here for an afternoon snack, but ended up eating a lot since the food was so good we had to order more! We had the vebab sandwich which was huge!! And a peanut butter cheesecake (to die for!). We also orded another piece of cheesecake, the oreo one and it was good as well! Good lattes as well.
