5 stars should only ever be awarded to vegan businesses on happycow. Why would a vegan do otherwise? We were all born with the right to live our lives free from the threat of harm. Veganism is about equality, it is not about us as individuals. Veganism is genuine, and honest. Vegan and plant based are two very different things. The term plant based is nonsensical, and is deliberately misleading for the marketing of products, with little concern for ethics. If you purchase, consume, or promote companies that test on, or have tested on animals; if you visit, or promote zoos, aquariums, circuses etc; if you ride animals, promote the wearing of animal fur, skin, feathers etc; then you should rethink how you feel about equality, and ask yourself why your choices are more important than the lives of others.
