    Instructions

    Combine dry ingredients.
    In an separate bowl, combine wet ingredients then add to the dry mixture.
    Mix with hands, kneading the dough until evenly moist and springy. Takes only a few seconds.
    Shape into a thick slab and cut lengthwise into strips and then crosswise into cubes about the size of a thumbnail.
    Place into a simmering (never boil as it changes the texture) broth of 1 cup vegetable broth and 1 cup water. Simmer for about 45 minutes. Add water if necessary.
    Now you have delicious cooked seitan, ready for any recipe.

    Ingredients

    1 cup wheat gluten
    1 packet onion soup mix
    2 tablespoon nutritional yeast
    1 tablespoon smoked paprika
    1 tablespoon granulated onion
    1 teaspoon granulated garlic
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon Italian herbs

    3/4 cup vegetable broth
    2 tablespoon Bragg's Amino
    1 tablespoon veg Worcestershire sauce

      It's a good source of protein and also an alternative for tofu. I like it, because it tastes a little bit like mead.

      The taste is perfect but it kind of falls apart. I may have done something wrong. Any suggestions?
