Delicate and fancy food - Edit
I’m giving this place 5 stars because even though I didn’t really have the best time, it’s because I was looking for a big hearty meal and this place doesn’t really do that. It has really fine, lovely and delicately decorated food, and it does do what it aims to do really well. Lovely atmosphere and taste and service, but the food size and prices aren’t for those who are starving and on a low budget. I recommend coming here if you’re not looking for a big meal so much as having something dainty to eat while catching up with a friend and relaxing.

Not as good as kyoto - Edit
Went here after we had been twice to the kyoto one (matcha pancakes omg) and were dissapointed. There was only 2 lunch options and 1 pancakes so we ordered the pancakes to share, not allowed to share apparently but then she says there is a dessert menu so we ordered the matcha cheesecake and the tirimasu set that comes with a matcha latte. Both no where near as good as the desserts at the other restaurant. It was a bit snooty tbh and expensive.

Everything is just so good!!!! - Edit
I went to Ain Soph. Ripple 2 years ago. I was so surprised with the taste of their food. So, this time when I visit Tokyo again, I knew I must pay a visit to this place.
Read moreWe were here over Sunday and they only have a holiday menu that serves only: bento, rice with salad, pancakes with salad. We chose bento. The portion of the bento is so big. It's with green salad, potato and chickpea salad, lotus root curry, tomato soup, deep fried soy meat and brown rice.
One thing that I am so in love with Japanese vegan food is that they include vegetables of different colors, carbs, beans. In this way, the diet is very balanced.
Everything in the bento is so good. My favorite is the tomato soup. It's very rich with lots of tomatoes and carrots.
Menu is in Japanese and English. Staff speaks little English but still ok.
Pros: Delicious food, Comfortable dining environment

Best pancakes ever. - Edit
One has to learn to be patient here and slow down. It is a chilled and quiet atmosphere. It sets the scene so you're less likely to gobble up your very delicious pancakes too quickly. Best pancakes ever. Warm and fluffy. Served with ice cream, cream, chopped nuts and agave syrup.

Worth it - Edit
Tried coming in for dinner but must have been too late so just picked up a jar of pudding and tiramisu (tiramisu was SO GOOD!). Came back the next day for breakfast and had the pancakes which were really good and filling. There was a little wait for the food however the staff apologised when the pancakes were brought out to us - it was really no bother but nice to know that they were aware without us saying anything.

Bad experience - Edit
We know the price are pricey but didn’t expect the portion is so small. Moreover, the staff seems rushing us to leave with clearing all the plates just right after we finish, we do felt the unwelcome smell. (There are 5 of us, as the meal are quite pricey so we decided to order 3 dishes first as trying. When we know the portion is so small, we are planning to order but the staff start to clear our plates and cutlery right after we finish our first round.. kinda disappointed). Taste to us are so so.

We were given the bill just as we started to eat our main course - which was a bit awkward as there was no space for it on the table. It was nowhere near closing time and there were other diners in there.

great strawberry tiramisu - Edit
I arrived after tea time and before dinner time, but the staff was nice enough to let me have a tiramisu or pudding and soy latte. I chose the seasonal strawberry tiramisu and it was great-even better than their regular tiramisu.

Very charming ❤️ - Edit
The menu here is very small - only 3 or so items to choose from. I had the pancakes which were AMAZING. On the pricier side at around 1880 yen, but as a one off for a tourist I was willing to pay it. The restaurant is very lovely and so was the service :)

We have come here now on two different trips to Tokyo, 3 different times hehe :) love this place! The food is so nice, especially the soy meat cutlets and fried soy meat, also the tortilla, the omelette and the cheese fondue (really it’s all good haha). All the desserts are to die for and you must try to matcha beer! A tad pricier but worth it!

Wonderful meal - Edit
My husband and I had a wonderful meal here last year. Great location. The dining room, whilst intimate (and great for our date night) made it difficult for staff to be on hand to provide service. We often had to wait for staff to deliver ours (or other people's food) in order to get service, order drinks, dessert etc.

Food was ok - Edit
I came with high expectations since I’ve been to Ain Soph.Journey (Shinjuku) and loved it. I don’t quite get why people love Ain Soph.Ginza that much. The service wasn’t that great - the guy serving us looked really grumpy - and the food isn’t worth the price. I had the course, which consists of salad, soup, a 9 small side dishes plate (can’t remember the name), dessert and drink, way too expensive (around ¥3500) for what it is. The salad was fine but the soup was bland and I can say that I only really liked 1 of the 9 dishes. It’s not bad, just not worth that much. The only thing that made this visit ok was the desserts, tasty and delicious just like Ain Soph.Journey (totally recommend the pancakes - fluffy, tasty and complete with fruits, ice cream and all of that).
Read moreSo, overall, it was ok but definitely not worth the price. I understand that it’s a nice building in Ginza and all of that, but just not worth it. I’ve been to lots of nice vegan restaurants in Tokyo with a much affordable price, same presentation, better service, etc.

Pricey but good for the area - Edit
Ain Soph Ginza is one of the only (or at least better known) vege places in Ginza, and it does a great job at providing a tasty and fresh meal. I got the mushroom hayashi-rice which was good, but a little overpowering on the sauce. The bento is extremely large as well, so be sure to get that only if you are very hungry! The bento is also the most expensive vege meal I'd seen, at approx ¥4,000. It's good for an occasional treat, but not a meal you would return for every week.

Pricey but nice(y) :) - Edit
Went there for a dinner. It’s a small setting but we were lucky there was room for us! The food was tasty. My partner had chosen something that had been sold out and was given something similar instead, which he thought was OK. I went for their nutty dry curry which I thought was tasty but could have used a little more substance and less rice. A little expensive but OK overall.

Loved it! - Edit
I loved the place. It's really cute, from outside and inside. The prices are alright for Japan. What I loved most about it, is that I didn't need to worry what I pick, because it's all at least vegetarian, if not even vegan. That's pretty great, if you don't speak the language. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was the small menu. For lunch there's only 3 options, which makes it a bit difficult if you don't like everything vegetarian/vegan.

Beautifully presented - Edit
Great food and service at Ain Soph on Saturday night. Having arrived in Tokyo that morning we were delighted to find a vegan restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. The food was beautiful and we were really looked after by the team. We did book ahead as it's quite snug but only a few hours in advance. The box with 9 delicate selections was a great mix of flavours and a fab welcome to Japan.
