Cozy backyard with very tasty food. Too bad that not everything is vegan 🥲 it’s not suuuuuuper cheap but it’s worth it, yummy and perfect for a break on a hot summer day.

Staff was friendly and spoke English when I showed a clear lack of Romanian language skills.

Menu only available via QR code. Language is standard as Romanian, the English translation only translates the titles but leaves the ingredients in Romanian.
Vegan options are clearly labeled as such, of which there are a few.
I went with a falafel salad, which came with a bowl of hummus as well.
The salad tasted well and the hummus was excellent. There were only four falafel in the bowl, and they only tasted alright.
There was complimentary lemon-cucumber water already on the tables, which was nice.

First of all the place is marked as “vegetarian” but serves fish as well.

The place looks nice but all the tables were sticky.
I wanted to order a tofu burger but the waitress said burgers buns aren’t vegan. Weird cause there’s *vegan* mayo in this burger but ok.
I asked about vegan options and she said “all the bowls and a salad”. I ordered a bowl and it was served with a boiled egg. Also as the other waitress (probably more experienced?) said, the beat patties - the main part of the bowl - weren’t vegan either.
It the end I ordered vegan zucchini salad, carrot cake (two cakes out of four were vegan) and soy latte.
The salad was beautiful and tasty, the cake was also ok. I got a refund for not vegan bowl without asking and that was nice.
So all in all it’s a non-veg place with a few vegan options. The food is good but if I knew it’s an omnivore restaurant I would not visit.

Vegan Zucchini Salad - Edit
I had the vegan Zucchini Salad, it was good. Very fresh, half an avocado and a nice zesty dressing. Paired with a white wine and infused water it was perfect for a summers day in Bucharest. It was a shame we couldn't sit outside, but we didn't book, so it was our own fault. Tip - book if you want to sit outside

Generous menu offers delicious options to choose from, while the variety of smoothies & fresh drinks is quite impressive. The staff is nice and friendly, but quite solicited and it sometimes seems difficult to keep up with all the orders, especially when the garden is full. Appreciate the detox water bottles keeping everybody hydrated, as well.

Salad dressing not vegan - Edit
Last summer I went there and asked for confirmation regarding one of the salads on the menu that was marked as vegan. I was told that it was vegan, however when they brought it I asked what the dressing was made of (it came already poured on the salad). Apparently, it had honey in it. I told them honey isn't vegan and they started telling me how that is a grey area. I was annoyed because I checked from the very beginning if the MARKED vegan salad on the menu is actually vegan. Let alone them arguing that some vegans eat honey. They didn't even offer to make me another salad with a vegan dressing after that. I had to pay for the one I wasn't going to eat. I never like to rate places with vegan options poorly, but I get annoyed if I can't trust those marked options. I advise places that want to offer vegan choices to inform themselves properly instead of basing this on assumptions.

I enjoy Arome a lot, especially due to its garden in summer. Concerning the food, not many vegan options (the burger bun has milk in it, the wraps have cheese). But you can ask the wraps without cheese. They also have nice salads and good vegan carrot cake.

Fancy vegan v Bukurešti - Edit
Arome je trochu dražší a víc elegantní bistro v Bukurešti, kde mají několik vegan možností. Dala jsem si salát s avokádem, který byl super, ale ne nijak outstanding, a kamarádka si dala burger, který byl nějak podobný. Zkusily jsme i jejich mrkváč, který ale outstanding byl.

Fabulous garden space and vegan options - Edit
We had the hummus wraps (they didn't have pita -- so instead we had the crudites and hummus on toast) and tofu burger. The food and juices were delicious. The garden area is beautiful (although watch out for mosquitos in summer months). Highly recommend

I have made a reservation for 8, for the next day. They picked up the phone after many calls, they confirmed the date and time.
Read moreThe next day, after our exam, we walked there, we were very hot and couldn't wait for some good food and a cold drink. Surprisingly, we faced a closed door. We tried to call, the phone was ringing inside. It was extremely rude and unpleasant. We waited for a while, hoping that maybe they're going to open soon, but it was all in vain.
I sent them a message on Facebook to tell them, in a very polite way, that it was disrespectful for them to make a reservation for us, for the next day and not let us know if anything came up and they were not going to be open... They left me on read. This only tells me that they do not care at all about their customers. I noticed that there are many other people who share my opinion on that.
I can not tell you about the food, since I haven't been able to try it and I will most likely never will, but if being treated well is among the things you consider while looking for a place to eat, I certainly do not recommend this place. There are many other vegetarian/vegan places in Bucharest, where the staff is actually really kind - Viva Vegano, Coolinart, Sara Green, Unison and so on.
Cons: they don't really pick up the phone, they were closed for our reservation, did not respond to any message or say sorry

Lovely atmosphere - Edit
We tried the Buddha Bowl and the veggie wrap HUG, both of which were delicious and well seasoned. For drinks, their homemade fruit infused water (which is on the house). They have both indoor and outdoor areas and their decorations are pretty cool. Would recommend!
