Yuba - Edit
Some of the best food. The yuba elevates everything. The yuba dessert is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

unpopular opinion: not impressed at all - Edit
Since this is supposed to be the best vegan restaurant in Tokyo my expectations were crazy high. However I found the whole experience rather mid. The owner seemed to be a little stressef that night and was not amused when we ordered water only (did not fancy neither alcohol nor any fizzy drink to pair with our Soba). The "signature" Soba itself was good but nothing mindblowing. Still wondering whether we missed something that night? ... to be honest would not rush to come again. But I think that is just my personal opinion.

Great little find - Edit
This place is so chilled. It's run by one man and it's all vegan. I had the veg egg tempura soba and it was delicious. Be prepared to wait if it's busy but it's worth it. Delicious and so many options.

Amazing food, amazing music - Edit
Really small place ran by one lovely guy who is also very into music and happy to talk about it with you, he even let me play a vinyl I picked from his collection. Food was of course beautiful as well. He actually had to take and return tables amongst customers eating which I found funny and just endeared me more to the place.

Great but a long wait - Edit
Really delicious food but it takes forever to get to your table as it is a one man operation. Lovely person though, the vibes are great there (records on and small shop), just be in for a proper sit down.

Best soba we have had! - Edit
This place is great - we stumbled onto it after getting into Tokyo on a late train and it was perfect. Super chill vibes with great music, small and intimate setting - sitting outside in the summer would be great. Food was amazing, super flavourful and cooked freshly right in front of us. We both had the curry tempura soba and it was actually spicy which is something missing from a lot of other curry we have had in Japan. Tempura was amazing!

Jazz café meets vegan soba — curry tempura soba was a hit - Edit
A vegan soba shop that also runs as a jazz café with vintage audio — a combination you won't find anywhere else. It was my first visit, and I debated going with something simple, but I love curry spices so I took the owner's recommendation: the Curry & Veg-Egg Tempura Soba. I went alone and sat at the counter, where the owner's lighthearted conversation put me completely at ease. The tempura was crispy and light, and the curry soba was delicious. Felt like it could get a long line for New Year's Eve soba!

Amazing soba and drinks - Edit
Very fancy place with great food and drinks! It’s a small garage like restaurant and the owner is chatty and charming. If you come alone, he might also pair you with another single to encourage exchange, very sweet. He does take his time cooking though, so please don’t come in a rush.

I really enjoyed my lunch here last week, it’s so rare to be able to have veg friendly soba and tempura. The broth was delicious and the noodles had the perfect amount of bite for me. Really nice owner too😄

Really special place - Edit
I come often because this place is like no other. The food is consistently delicious and high quality, the owner is warm and genuinely cool, and the vinyl selection adds to the atmosphere. But what makes this place truly unique is that you feel welcomed and at home from the moment you step inside.

A Sophisticated bowl after vintage shopping - Edit
Shimokitazawa is famous vintage shop area. I heard great reputation as worlds coolest area.
Read moreAfter shopping in Shimokitazawa, I came to this small soba shop.
The soba felt like something traditional and well-worn in a good way —
simple, gentle, and comforting, like Japanese vintage itself.
The clean broth, smooth noodles, and calm atmosphere made a peaceful break.
I would like to visit again.

Lovely place to eat - Edit
Very out of the way but visited due to the reviews. Was very nice food and fairly priced for the area and type of food. We got the standard broth but they had a curry one too. They also have a cold option. The vegan “egg” is very fine tofu. The man was very nice and explained the menu. It is very small but we got there as it opened and walked straight in. There’s about 3 tables/7 seats.
Read moreThere’s also a toilet in the far door that looks like a cupboard and the hand soap is also a vegan product. Would recommend if you’re looking for a good soba. Card is okay too.

Delicious soba - Edit
I was dying to try this place, and it was so worth it, the restaurant is quite small, but we did not have to wait, since we got there early. The Soba was amazing, definitely one of the best I tried in Japan. There was a DJ playing, that was nice and you still can talk easily.
