Everything is vegan and absolutely delicious! We tried the BBQ jackfruit and the BLT, along with the blueberry cheesecake donut (oh my god I need more of that) and the espresso donut.

Vegan goldmine in NY - Edit
Found this gem when we went up to the Adirondacks from Rochester, NY. Super close to Lake George if you are staying in the area. Went back a second time on our way home because it was so yummy and we wanted to try more options after loving our food so much the first time. My Omnivore partner enjoyed all of the options too!

I was on a trip to Lake George and found this lil gem. I stocked up for a few days and tried the chicken parm, buffalo mac, stuffed burger, onion rings, fries, fried pickles, blueberry pancake doughnut and a cinnamon bun. I was super impressed with everything that I tried and would even consider taking a 3 hour road trip to go back again. This place is delicious and everyone should try it!

More Than Exceptional! - Edit
Found this amazing restaurant during our stay in Saratoga Springs. Made the drive to Glens Falls just for this place not knowing anything about it. We are so happy that we made the journey as EVERYTHING we had was incredible. Tower O’ Rings were the best rings I’ve had in years, if not all time. Cup Of Mac w/ Baycun Crumbles was delicious. Their Chikken Parm Grinder was leagues above any “Chikken” parm that I’ve had as a vegan. The Philly Chzzz Stayq was phenomenal, although I did have to ask for extra Chzz, to which they kindly obliged at no charge. Then, as if the place couldn’t get any better, it was time for donuts! Their Boston Creams were second to none, so we ordered more to take home. Cannot wait until the AM to taste the variety pack we have waiting for us. Lastly, our server, Joseph, was super friendly and responsive and the owner, Tania, was really nice and took the time to come out front to speak with us so we could lavish our praises on her.

So Great - Edit
My husband and I found Birch Bark Eatery last year and were thrilled to find vegan food so close to Lake George. Lake George is full of food, but nothing we can eat unless we go ethnic, which is cool, but why get more veggie dumplings when we can eat loaded fries with seitan bacon, chezz, and "sour cream"? Or a Ruben, a Philly Chzz "Steak", or chzzburger mac & chzz??? Seriously haven't had a bad meal and DO NOT forget to pick up some donuts, omg.

My fave place - Edit
Best vegan around!! Love that so many tasty items are made in house. Unlike any other vegan restaurant I've been to in the Capitol region. I've never had an item that wasn't outstanding!!! Seitans are all tasty. Burgers are juicy and filled with flavor and unique, delicious combinations. Love that there are different flavors and ingredients. Birch Bark takes traditional comfort food to an entirely new level. I get to enjoy all of the traditional guilty pleasures vegan style... Mac and cheese, pizza, and the cherry on top... The doughnuts... Absolute divinity. Completely sinful!!!

An entirely vegan cafe with kind, patient staff (I’m not used to having so many options that look delicious that it took me forever to decide!). French dip hoagie, stuffed burger, avocado fries were all superb.

Birch Bark Eatery is a welcome addition to the area. The food is great! The only con for me is that it is not handicapped assessable, since there are steps from the parking lot to the door and then additional steps to the restaurant 1/2 level up. But overall, I highly recommend it.

Since relocating, this new location is much better and is now easily handicapped accessible! Being located in downtown Glens Falls, it is conveniently located. And as an added plus, it is now located right next to the main transfer stop of the city bus service - within 100 yards! Thus it is very easy to get to and/or grab something for takeout!
A recent visit with carnivores showed that they were also impressed with the food!
I highly recommend it!👍👍

I love most everything. I usually have a salad, sometimes with chikken strips, sometimes as a side to a burger or sausage sandwich or mac n’ cheez. The appetizers are delicious and come on a big plate to share. And there are always new flavors of donuts.

Disappointing - Edit
Went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The service was awful... waited nearly 45 minutes to be served. The other guests at my table were served first and I waited an additional 10-15 minutes for my food. The Plane Power Salad was a thin layer of greens with canned beets and microscopic shreds of a hard cheese they claimed to be goat chzzz. My french Dip “hoagie” came on a bready hotdog type roll you buy in a bag at the grocery store. There was very little “meat” in the roll. My husband said his stuffed burger was okay. By far the best foods were the onion rings and french fries; they were well seasoned and crispy.

This place is AMAZING!! - Edit
Boy do I love this place. The size of the menu blew me away as every vegan place I've been to has had small menus. Most of the options could be made gluten free which I appreciated, and they all tasted great. The Chikken Parmesan Sandwich was yum, the Chzzz Burger with Beyond Burger was great, but the Tempeh Bacon Jalapeño-corn bread sandwich was what blew my mind.

Hidden gem - Edit
Ate here with my Omni friends & this was the first time some of them had ever eaten at an all vegan restaurant and everyone really enjoyed it. I had the BLT - the tempeh bacon was the best I have ever had! Of course, I brought the maple Apple bear claw home for dessert. Oh, and the homemade chips are amazing. Much needed vegan restaurant in the Lake George area!! Everyone should try it.

Amazing food - Edit
I'm not a big fan if vegan food. It's usually either bland or too cloying but the food here is spot on! We ate here 3 nights in a row while on vacation and I loved each meal! The smothered plate reminded me of the poutine of Montreal, the hoagie was phenomenal, and the chicken parm delicious. The cauliflower bites and tempura broccoli were listed as appetizers but could be a meal by themselves. This is a great place to get a delicious meal even if, like me, you're not really vegan.

If you have allergies, beware - Edit
Food was decent but the service was awful. My girlfriend informed the waiter of her peanut allergy and gluten intolerance before ordering. He told us that all of their fried food is fried in peanut oil and tried to convince her that it would be fine to eat. She did not want to take the risk and opted for a sandwich instead, making sure to add that it needed to be on a gluten free bun. The waiter indicated that this wouldn't be a problem but when he brought out our food her bun looked suspiciously like my normal bun. When I pointed this out he told us that he 'forgot' then went back into the kitchen to remake it but quickly retuned to tell us that they were out of gluten free buns. He said that he had a customer request a gluten free bun earlier and he gave them a multi-grain bun and "they seemed fine." At this point my girlfriend didn't trust any food from this place and told the waiter to forget about her meal. He apparently took offense to this and made it seem like he was doing her a favor by informing her of the allergens in her food. He told us that they "are not legally required" to inform us of the peanut oil used in their food making process. In addition to all that we never got one of the appetizers our table ordered and the waiter must have gone to the store to get ketchup because we were done eating before we got any.

4 bad experiences - Edit
I wanted so bad to like this place and while some of their food is pretty good, a lot of things that I have tried have been disappointing. Tried the French onion soup one time and it came out with a vegan cheese slice barely melted on top like they had just popped it in the microwave and it was literally just overly salty veggie broth. Another time I waited almost an hour for just a burger and fries. My husband and I went another time and they brought my food out in about twenty minutes and then brought my husbands out twenty minutes after that so I was done eating while he still needed to eat. Took the waiter 30 minutes to come take our order when we got there and my food was cold another time I went. Over all just keep having bad experiences. Not worth the mediocre food.

Elissa, im sad we have disappointed you but even more sad that you would give us 2 stars and only highlight negative things about visiting Birch Bark. On one occasion when you visited the server did neglect you and your family, and then even worse forgot to ticket one item on your order resulting in a disappointing situation where your food came out separately. We are still in our infancy as a business and we are seriously trying our best everyday to improve all aspects, speed being our biggest challenge due to a very small working space. We care intensely about all guest's experiences and when presented the opportunity to right a wrong we bend over backwards to ensure guest satisfaction. We even carry your items downstairs to your vehicle when you are overwhelmed with things to carry... but if that pales in comparison to the inconvenience of waiting for your food in the order it was submitted then I am unsure what else I can offer you other than apologies MONTHS after your last visit. Fortunately many other people have kindly reviewed us based on our effort and passion and not our mistakes.

Wow!!!! - Edit
We stopped here while driving home from the Adirondacks and I wish it was closer because we’d be there every day! I have celiac as well as being vegan and there were plenty of options. We started with the mozzarella sticks which were crunchy and gooey and melty and oh so amazing! I then had the chicken parm sandwich with onion rings, the waitress’s recommendation. Also so so so good. My husband had the seitan based chicken salad sandwich which he also loved. The portions were a good size and the ambiance is super cute.
