Clean eating 🌱

This small spot is the second venue of Cocos Deli and the sister branch of A matcha a day. The menu provides lots of healthy drink and food options including specialty coffee and matcha. All of their smoothie bowls are vegan and gluten free and on my recent visit also all of their sweet treats were plant based, including muffins, energy balls, cookies and donuts. I really like their delicious snickers bar, which I highly recommend. During my recent visit, they didn’t have available their daily special, which I had and liked the last time I went, offering different portion sizes. Instead, I ordered the keto salad for take away, omitting the feta cheese. As vegan add-in the kind lady only offered falafel, thus I agreed. The falafel were very dry and cold, tasting like the rather cheap store bought options you get at supermarket chains. Also the balsamic vinegar dressing was overly salted and thick, not dispersing well and in my opinion not matching at all the composition of ingredients. I later saw on their menu, that their plant based alternative for that meal is crispy tofu, which probably would have been a much better choice, so I wonder why the waitress didn’t suggest nor mention it. Maybe they ran out of it, although I arrived two hours before their closing time. Hence, I recommend checking the menu yourself instead of asking the staff; there are plenty of clearly marked options available.
Last, having a staff fluent in Spanish would be helpful. If I hadn’t spoken English, the language gap would have been too big to understand each other.
