FINALLY good vegan pizza - Edit
I went vegan 2 years ago and cheese pizza is the thing I miss the most. I have since then tried vegan pizzas all over the world, but I've always been underwhelmed. Until I tried El Vato Loco. Their pizzas are just amazing, the menu is creative and the owner is friendly. The sides are also fantastic, almost as full independent dishes.

Such a fluffy dough and nice texture. Amazingly good pizzas. And the best thing: you can choose the level of the chilli oil you can put on top: from picante 🌶️to hospital 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I have pretty high standards when it comes to pizza. I've had some really mediocre and downright bad ones, but I'm delighted to say the one I had at El Vato Loco was banging. The Neapolitan style thin base was perfect, I went for the tapas one (with fried potatoes, Heüra chorizo, padron peppers and so on) and was blown away. The menu isn't long, which is always a good sign. The place is tiny, with just one row of bar style seats, but it's well worth a visit. Bonus points for 90s/early 00s hip hop playlist.

It's nice that vegan pizzas are not highlighted as something special at this place! Rustical interior with some seats, but you get the pizza in a box anyway. We enjoyed the supreme and calzone but we were also somewhat disappointed as we had different expectations. We would've been happier with "simpler" pizzas, instead of a variety of ingredients that were a bit too much. Some parts of the dough were burnt. Still, well-prepared and we'd try the classic pizza next time.

Pedimos una pizza carbonara y unas patatas. Una de las mejores carbonaras que he comido. La masa es casera, puedes ver cómo la hacen en cocina porque la tienen a la vista. La única pega es que es un poco pequeño y en fin de semana es difícil que haya sitio.

Cheeseburger pizza? Carbonara pizza? Yes, you'll find those on the menu. And they are super tasty! Staff is super friendly and seems to be in a good mood.
Read moreThe place is pretty small, you'll find a wooden plank attached to the wall and 8 barstools. So, if you're trying to get pizza during a busy time, have it for takeaway and eat it in the park - only thing you miss out on are the hot, spicy, infernal, or hospitalising sauces.

We had the Green one and the Carbonara, which we shared with 3 people and it was still a bit too much, as the Carbonara is quite heavy. Both pizzas were quite good. The place itself is small and not that comfortable to eat there. All in all 3,5 stars.
