Nice spot for Vegans! - Edit
Cool atmosphere, almost the whole menu vegan or available for Vegans, amazing mousse au chocolat (definitely the best I had since I'm vegan!).
Read moreThe seitan was good but we were disappointed by the vegan lasagna (eggplants and zucchini) : not salty/tasty enough for us.
Pros: The best mousse au chocolat ever, 90% vegan menu

Excellent vegan and vegetarian cuisine - Edit
I took a party of 8 non veggie golfers and myself to Estudio. All were thoroughly impressed with the range of food , the wine and the really interesting styles in which they were cooked. I think the vegan Chocolate mouse and raw fruit cake came out on top. Such a pleasure to dine here with great atmosphere. Incidentally there is a Belgian beer house next door that can kick the evening off in the right way. We will definitely go back on a future trip.

Great Restaurant! - Edit
Very charming place to be, not too big so the atmosphere is very peaceful. It can get loud there, yes, but that’s not a big problem.
Read moreThe food is yummy and arranged in a very creative way, with herbs and sauces all over. Give the chocolate mousse a try! It is amazing.
Just be aware that it gets very crowded at time, so reserve a table if you want to be sure to get a place there.
We‘ll definitely come back!

0brigado @estudio_vegetariano! I really love your food and service!
Si van a Lagos no olviden pasar a saborearlo 🌱❤️

Great service and broad options - Edit
We drove here from Luz because of the good reviews. We started with the marinated carrots which were a tasty alternative to olives as an appetiser. For mains we both went for the lentil bolognaise lasagne which was well sold to us by the waitress. The lasagne itself was quite dry (which I don't mind) but it lacked seasoning and was a little flavourless. We weren't so impressed. For dessert we both had the vegan chocolate mousse which my boyfriend absolutely adored - he finished mine because I found it too bitter and overpowering.
Read moreOverall, the food was fairly average but the service made the difference for us and we had a good laugh with the waitress who made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed. We would have gone back had we had the chance as there were a lot of other options to try. The lentil curry looked delish!

Safe heaven in Lagos - Edit
Estudio vegetariano is a great place where you can have dinner for a few days in a row without getting bored. The menu offers a number of good dishes (all vegan, with a couple where you can ask for some cheese to be added). I tried the lentils' lasagna (very tasty, possibly a bit dry), the felafel (the only dish I wouldn't suggest), the seitan (great, and served with a really tasty vegan sour cream), the marinated carrots (amazing!), the hummus duo (also great), and the lentils' dahl (the best dish I've tried!).
Read moreThey have three fruit juices in the menu, plus lemonade, plus kombucha, plus tea.... and wine! And you have to try the vegan chocolate mousse, it's simply unbelievable (better than the raw chocolate brownie with banana ice cream). :--)
Also, the waitresses/waiters are all very friendly and the atmosphere is cool. I was happy to see that every day I went the place was almost full!
As for the price, it's not expensive at all: around 13 euro per person having a main dish, a fresh juice, and some dessert!

Healthy Eating in Lagos Old Town - Edit
Found this Vegan restaurant in the lane's of the old town in Lagos.
Read moreSo pleased we located it on happy cow app.
Always gets you out of trouble !
On arrival we found that it was full with just one table to accommodate 3 of us, which was lucky.
There was a lovely atmosphere, I suppose like minded people.
Waitress that served us all evening was lovely, and chatty and always ready help and inform on menus and ingredients.
Food was full of flavour as you would expect with.vegan food, fresh and made on premises.
We all enjoyed the evening and our meals in a relaxed environment.
Can't speak highly enough about this place.
Will be going again.
Price I thought was very reasonable contrary to what other people have said and still a lot cheaper than main stream Restaurants in Lagos !
Not sure what they are on about !
Get real !
You a have nice atmosphere
Fresh clean food.
And no cruelty or animal has been harmed in the process.
Win win all round !
Go try it.
Pros: Only Vegan Restaurant in Lagos ! Ha-rah ! Found O

Loved it! - Edit
Food was delicious.
Read moreA little bit on the expensive side but I was grateful to find a restaurant that has vegan options in Lagos.
Staff were friendly and were able to advice which meals were vegan and had no gluten.
I chose the Dahl and rice which was actually so full of flavour. I had the carob brownie and vegan ice cream (both gluten free) for desert. Loved it all!
Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff , staff knowledgeable about what was vegan/gluten fr
Cons: Not so cheap , portions not so big

lovely place in the heart of Lagos - Edit
very vintage like looking place in the center of the old town of Lagos.
Read moreThe food was delicous but a bit on the pricy side. I think the price was reasonable. I paid 9.50 for a courgette spaghetti 'cheese' sauce meal.
The desserts are delicious as well. Many raw food options like raw brownies or cheesecake.
Furthermore there was great music playing. Ella Fitzgerald, Luis Armstrong and Amy Winehouse. So if you like jazz/soul/chill music go to this place and you feel as comfortable as me :)
Pros: Raw dessert options, high quality food, great musi
Cons: (not that cheap)

Nice and cosy restaurant, almost everything vegan - Edit
This small restaurant is located in the heart of old Lagos.
Read moreThe decoration is cosy and the staff very friendly (they speak English)
They offer plenty of choice of "petiscos" (apetizers) and the main dishes all looked incredibly good, it was hard to choose from lasagna, coconut dhal, stuffed peppers and more...we finally chose the zucchini spaghetti with sweet potato sauce and it was GORGEOUS!
Almost everything is vegan on the menu which is great (even the desserts).
Prices are reasonable for this fresh and original Cuisine!
Pros: Location, Original cuisine, Fresh ingredients
Cons: Closed for lunch

Not so great tasting food for it's value - Edit
Went there for a group meal, each of us tried a bunch of different plates, everything looked amazing but in the end it didn't live up to our expectations. The Seitan burgers were too dry and salty, with nothing on the plate that could balance those out. The other meals were just too heavy on cumin. I dislike too much cumin in my food so it wasn't very pleasant. We all thought there is a general lack of balance in everything we tried, needed something else in the plate to complete them (other than that one leaf of lettuce). They had problems with giving me tap water to drink (instead of having bottled water), which I think is ridiculous. I'm trying to reduce the amount of unnecessary plastic I buy, and tap water is perfectly fine to drink. There was a plastic straw in my sister's drink as well, which was unnecessary, but maybe they don't know these can't be recycled and most of them end up in oceans, being dangerous to turtles and fish.
Read moreAdditionally, this is by far the most expensive vegan/vegetarian restaurant I've been to in the Algarve. Which I would be ok with if the food was amazing!
A lot of room to improvement, hope to try it again in the future and be pleasantly surprised :) For now, I wouldn't recommend it to others.
Pros: beautifully presented plates, helpful staff
Cons: Everything tasted like Cumin, Expensive, Place could have better decor

Hello, sorry we don't check Happy Cow very often but we're very sad to hear your comments and how disappointed you were. From the rest of the reviews, you can tell that this is not the kind of feedback we often hear, although being very welcomed.
Read moreWe wished you would have expressed your concerns with the lack of balance on your burger dish with our waitress and we could have served you a fresh salad or another dish of your preference.
Jeera rice (meaning cumin rice), falafel and hummus all have cumin as traditionally one the main ingredients, therefore all tasting of cumin. Next time is always better to check with the waitress what are the main ingredients, especially if there's a specific ingredient/spice that you don't particularly like, and we'd be happy to point you to alternative dishes on the menu.
We are located in the old town in an old building (with old pipes), and the tap water does not taste great. We really care about our customers, that's why we can serve it but don't suggest drinking tap water here. In alternative we usually suggest our litre jugs filled with bottled water that we buy in large bottles, exactly to reduce the plastic consumption that goes with buying small bottles.
We no longer serve the drinks with straws but make them available to our customers if they wish to use them - which sometimes makes sense - and afterwards we separate them together with our plastic waste to send it to recycling.
We have now changed our decor and added new dishes to the menu. Hope to see you again at Estudio Vegetariano for a second chance!
