Excellent vegetarian - Edit
Great variety of unique items - broccoli tacos, blt with nori bacon, felafel plates, brunch specials on the weekend and lunch specials. Very authentic feel. Good portions- not too huge. Super popular - make reservations!

My top rated resto of all time - Edit
I had heard about Frankie's through a vegan group and knew I has to try it when we came back to Kelowna.
Read moreI can say that I was absolutely blown away!
Previously, my fave place was on a small island in the South Pacific.
Everything was so incredibly delicious but the Poke Stack was like nothing else. It was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Initially I thought the eggplant was actually fish, which I used to love. It didn't taste fishy but sure looked like it, including the texture of the aubergine cubes.
I wish FWSY was closer to home as I would be there every week!
Pros: All vegan fabulous food, Interesting food twists, Great service
Cons: Usually have to reserve a table (busy and popular , Stomachs unlikely big enough to try everything , Seating times are limited in duration

Great Experience! - Edit
Everything we had was so delicious wow. The service was great, the food came out very fast. The environment is so nice. It was just a great experience and if I wasn’t just passing through I’d definitely eat here at least once a week.

Best Vegan Food Around - Edit
FWSY has been my favourite restaurant ever since I ventured into a plant-based diet years ago. I can never stop raving about them! The food seriously NEVER disappoints, and it seems that each dish I try is better than the last. The Sweet Corn Queso is a must-have appetizer, and the side of black sesame fries that is offered with some dishes is unmatched. Every dish is so unique and flavourful, as well as their cocktails and non-alcoholic lemonades. I recently went for brunch and had the Smoked Carrot “Lox” on Toast, which was just another dish that blew me away.

Highly recommend! - Edit
I got the Buffalo tempeh caesar wrap and the soup of the day as the lunch special. The plant based feta inside the wrap is amazing as well as the wrap of course!

Imaginative food and drink menu! - Edit
I was thrilled when the server said the menu was 100% plant-based, but on my next visit she amended that to say that eggs are still available on the weekend brunch menu. (Oct-2021) Maybe they’ll stop that someday.
Read moreI’ve been several times during my two stays in Kelowna, and the food is always good. On my first visit, I had the house-made mushroom-based burger with skinny fries sprinkled with black and regular sesame seeds. Several times I had the Lunch Special, for which you choose one of the three house-made lemonades and two meal items from a list that includes the soup of the day, wraps and salads. Sourdough bread from Sprout Bakery is used. On the dessert menu are truffles and three delicious options, including a cheesecake and a chocolatey version of sticky toffee pudding. I like the creative menu, such as vegetable pot pie style soup, winter squash sandwich, crispy cauliflower wrap and lots more.
The only meal, so far, that I didn't like as much was the Poke Stack with marinated aubergine (an odd taste).
Pleasant staff, made recommendations when I said it was my first time, and asked about any allergies.
Reservations are probably wise, since the restaurant is often quite full. I've managed to get a seat at the bar each time I've gone at 1:00-2:00 p.m. (Oct-Nov 2021) Reservations are needed most times. (May 2022)
Regional beers, wines and ciders.
There's a happy hour menu of drinks and snacks.
Under-bar hooks to hang stuff on, which I always appreciate.
They’re waiting for neighbouring construction to end before adding a patio - maybe summer 2022.

Ordered truffled popcorn and the roasted chickpea thingy.
Read moreTruffled popcorn was… you don’t need to have popcorn trufflerized. The regular ones would do.
The chickpea and avocado in the chickpea plate was very nice, well roasted. The sauce was however not that good, tastes like Lemon Dijon vinaigrette from Costco. It was very sour. With the additional sauerkraut and cherry tomato. It looked very colourful. I wish I had ordered something else.
The staff where very friendly, dish serving is slow.

Attentive, Creative, and Delicious - Edit
If your dining experience at Frankie We Salute You is anything like mine (and I hope it is), you’re in for a treat. The restaurant is stylish with COACHELLA-inspired tunes playing in the background and hip, informed staff. I started with the Charred Broccoli Caesar. It was simply delicious - the sort of dish that finds you longing for more when you arrive at the last forkful. It made for a great appetizer (note you can order as a main too it seems). The romaine was crisp, the broccoli diced and charred, the dressing tangy, and the croutons were pan seared Tempeh. For a main I ordered the BULGOGI Mushrooms and this was a really interesting dish that combined a variety of textures (from oyster mushrooms to sticky rice). This dish might not be for everyone as it’s a bit experimental. The sauce was plentiful and had a bit of a kick to it. The portions were generous on both the dishes I ordered. Ended the meal with a lemon truffle. $39 Cdn including tip.
Read moreReturned the next night with friends and tried the Chickpea Fries as a starter and the Mushroom Burger as a main - both really good. We all agreed the Lemon Meringue dessert was okay, not great.

Lunch deals that are fast and fresh! Especially when local food is ripe, but any time of the year this lunch soup and sandwich will blow up your taste buds. The food just seems so fresh and well put together at FWSY. Big colourful plates take healthy AND delicious to a new level.

We went to Frankies on Valentines Day 21’. They had a sushi deal which had a tomato nigiri, “mountain of love” which had puffed rice on top. All of the sushi was delicious and the sauces were mouth watering.

Pretty much vegan restaurant - Edit
The service we received was impeccable by Emily. I had an amazing moon juice to start, with tacos and beat Bubba. Everything was delicious and incredible. My husband and I enjoyed the Ramen and Bolognese, which was pretty good too. The chocolate truffles accompanied with Frankie‘s Bailey’s on my top choice for dessert. The decor is modern and clean. The music choice was appropriate.

Five Start Beach Take Out - Edit
My wife and I met up with some old friends from our hometown that now live in K-town. They suggested take out from Frankie and a picnic at the beach.
Read moreWe ordered the Frankie Burger, the Chorizo Bowl and the Cauliflower Tostadas. Even after the transit to the beach the food was stellar.
The tostadas were a great combination of textures and flavors. I would get them again in a heartbeat. The burger was good, one of the better vegan burgers that I’ve had. The fries the came with it might shave been a the best thing. Nice and crispy with a great salty and savory spice blend tossed on them.

Beautiful presentation, fresh as can be - Edit
We had to wait 20 minutes to sit for lunch on a Tuesday in December but it was VERY worth the wait! Amazing service. The food is picture-perfect. Always fresh, hot, and delicious. As a previous seafood lover, I adored the carrot lox on toast. Almost everything on their menu can be made vegan. Must try their juices and lemonades. Their level of detail has been perfected. Although, be prepared to wait, as they are often very busy.
