Was meant to write a review months ago - this was my go to spot when I was in nepal for 3 months, I couldn’t stop coming back. Buddha let me go behind the bar and make my own coffee to go with the best vegan cakes you’ll find! The chocolate and biscoff cakes are sooo good, very rich but you just can’t stop eating it! The staff are so nice and friendly and always smiling and making you want to come back. There’s a vegan burger that comes with a veggie patty and huge chunk of tofu which I had at least 5 times it’s to this day one of the best vegan burgers I ever had, and comes with really nice crispy roast potatoes. We also had veggie skewers (made from faux meat) and tofu sticks a few times. It’s an absolute dream for vegans especially if you’re feeling more western food rather than curry etc

Blink and you'll miss this little place tucked away off the main streets of Thamel. Cosy place with cool ambience. Ask for the separate vegan menu. Great cakes and selection of drinks with almond or coconut milk. The owner is super friendly and nice.

Best tofu scramble I’ve had that I haven’t made myself. Super friendly staff who are very willing to cater to your preferences. One of my favourite places to eat In Kathmandu. Also has a really tasty burger and the vegan brownies are delicious.

Make sure to ask for the separate vegan menu. Large range of options, soy and almond milk available. Several vegan cakes in the window, all chocolate based. The scrambled tofu wrap and the mixed veg wrap were both great, as were the momos. The blueberry smoothie was far too sweet and artificial. Some vegan dry goods available for purchase as well.

Cute little Cafe with lovely staff. They have a separate vegan menu with plenty of options, including tofu based items and homemade arugula basil pesto. Happy to see a vegan Masada Chai as I'd been wanting to try it!

We ordered four different options from the vegan menu and they were all very bland. They didn't have soy or almond milk, so they made us coffee with what they called coconut milk but was clearly coconut cream, which is very heavy and doesn't suite coffee well.

This cozy cafe offers a whole vegan menue and also some groceries. The cookies were a little bit too dry for me, but the other food i tried was very delicious: Tofu Burger, scrambled tofu, a brownie and truffels. The potions are huge and the staff is nice and helpful.

We had the brownie and a other cake which were delicious and very fulfilling. The coffee is also great, they have coconut, soy and almond milk - but the two times we were there they only had coconut milk.

I had the tofu scramble with spinach and mushrooms. Very good but the portion size was way to big for me! Probably enough there for 2 people. Tasty food. I don't think I would have gone if I hadn't come across it online as the front does not look great. Once you are inside, its a different place!

The portion size is really big, I thought about getting one of the many vegan cakes (brownies, carrot cake, truffle) but I was just too full. Will definitely go there again!
The prices were quite good! Payed 275 for porridge and 300 for the scrambled tofu toast.

They have a very complete vegan menu with nepali and western food, also full of gluten free options. If you're gluten free, they have a section in the place with products to buy as pasta or bread. The soya masala tea and the vegan chocolate truffle are my favourites!

Lots of vegan options in separate menu - Edit
Good menu and food was tasty - I ordered the Mediterranean veg wrap. There was a little mishap... the same item is on the non vegan menu (which my husband ordered from - he had eggs benedict) and my server didn't realise I was ordering from the vegan menu. So my wrap arrived containing cheese. I questioned it and they changed it right away and we're very apologetic and I really enjoyed my vegan wrap. Unfortunately it came without the advertised crumbled tofu. I think they must have run out of tofu because I was told I couldn't have my 1st choice order (mushroom, spinach and scrambled tofu on toast). A bit disappointed but would come again.

To an Australian this place is exactly what I needed, I can put Vegemite on everything(even my latte) Buddha and the rest of the staff were so incredible in every way which when paired with the food just made this place heaven💕 (would of rated 5 stars if it let me)

Absolutely amazing vegan brownies and fantastic breakfast! We kept coming back here again and again. Buddha the owner worked 10 years as a chef in Perth, Australia, where most of his friends were vegan. He definitely knows what he's doing! He creates a really welcoming atmosphere as well.

This is a nice little location offering vegan and veggie food. The noodles and pakauda were fresh and delicious, also coffee with soy milk is available and really good. We also had a very tasty burger here.

I had the vegan Tofu burger and it was soo good. The coleslaw and especially the potatoes were heaven. Mushroom spinach tofu scramble and soy latte for breakfast were equally delicious. They give you hot water if you don't drink anything. Staff were super friendly. Lovely that they have an extra vegan menu, no need to browse through the normal menu and search for vegan options. I'm a big fan.

SUCH A COOL PLACE and omg if you have a sweet tooth please do yourself a favour and order the vegan tart!!! It was the most delicious chocolate vegan lava cake a shortbread cookie combo I’ve ever had in my life. Couldn’t believe how decadent. Great vegan donuts and brownies too. I ordered the veg burger from their vegan menu when I was there and a vegan coffee shake and I was blown away. The bun is made in house as well and the fries are home cut potatoes with garlic. Amazing!

This cafe which isn’t even vegetarian makes an incredible effort for vegans. They have a fully vegan menu, three different plant milks, a selection of vegan cakes, and even Vegan Baileys!
Read moreWe visited a number of times for cake and coffee. The brownies are really good and the coffee is excellent. There is also a really nice ambience and very friendly service.
The vegan menu is long and varied and includes pasta dishes, tofu steaks and stir-fries. There is more invention here than you will see in many vegan places, particularly as they manage to source ingredients such as nutritional yeast.
Highly recommended.

This place has a vegan menu! The prices are mid ranged. I ate the breakfast tofu scramble and they spiced the tofu better than I’ve had in a long time. For dinner I got the vegan heaven, which is vegan burger. Amazing food!

While staying in Kathmandu I went to the bakery a few times and had the vegan breakfast platter. It was a great start of the day. I also tried some of the cakes which were so good. Well worth a visit😊

We only visited French Bakery for cake and coffee, but theyhave a great vegan-friendly menu, including sandwiches, pasta, chilly tofu steak, plus breakfast with scrambled tofu or toast with marmite or vegemite.

They also have a bar, and during our visits, they even had two bottles of vegan Baileys on display!
