Good but NOT ALL VEGAN - Edit
I want to start of by saying that the food was really tasty and the portions are very generous. With that said, I found out that it isn't all vegan. When I asked the waitress if it was 100% vegan she pointed out that a couple of items were not. She said that one contained eggs and another had mayonnaise. So if you are vegan or can't have dairy/eggs, please make sure you ask that your items are indeed vegan. I was under the impression that this was an all vegan restaurant, according to happy cow. Otherwise the food is pretty good.

We love Happy Family. At this all vegan restaurant, it is amazing to find so close to home. We really enjoy the corn and tofu soup (eat in only),spring rolls, fried wontons, Mongolian Beef, house Mushroom Chicken, Basil Chicken Nuggets, and Chow Mein.

Too much sugar - Edit
The food here is not great; it’s strongly sweetened and heavy on the gravy. That said, it’s at least easy to find an option, since the entire restaurant is vegetarian (some egg dishes on the menu.)

Amazing food! - Edit
We came with them closing, they still insisted we stay and eat. This was our first time here, so we were eager to try. Got the food rather quickly from ordering. 98% percent vegan menu, which they have disclaimers on the two items that are not vegan. Food was amazingly tasty, and portions were big. Very decently priced, friendly staff, and amazing food. We will be returning!

Great Food and Great Customer Service - Edit
All the food on their menu is vegan and is the best around here. My husband and I are always ordering from them. We go so often that they know us now. Haha. They’re so friendly and patient with us when we order our meals because we are very particular on them. They’re also very accommodating. Always making sure if we’re good or need anything else. Definitely recommend this place for sure!

Great Options, Amazing Food!!! -ALL VEGAN BBY- - Edit
We got both the Spicy Mongolian and the Kung Pao Chicken entrees. We were hesitant at first to order spicy, however it’s not overwhelmingly hot by any means. Our favorite between the two entrees was the Kung Pao! Definitely coming again. Happy bellies and hearts🤘🏽

This place is by favorite place to eat in the San Bernardino, Loma Linda area. My kids love the corn flour soup and my wife and I are in love with the hot and sour soup. The servings are very generous, great place for a dinner party with friends and family.

good Chinese - Edit
I stopped in for lunch with two friends and the place was busy. One of us got the lunch special with shrimp kung pao and the other two of us shared the eggplant tofu and chicken nugget kung pao from the regular menu. The regular servings were very large and generous compared to the lunch special, but of course, that comes with soup and rolls too. It was all tasty and hit the spot to find a place to eat on our road trip.

Happy Family indeed - Edit
Such good food! I hadn't had hot and sour soup since becoming vegan and it was delicious. All 5 of us got something different and every bit of it was fantastic- no complaints from the picky boy either- which was rare and beautiful. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Wow really Wow - Edit
So we found this gem after a trip to the VA hospital. I had the vegan chicken with basil and ginger, hot sour soup, brown rice and spring roll. my daughter had the orange peel chicken with the corn and tofu soup. I am very pleased. And the price is very reasonable. I will be stopping here on my trips down from the desert.

Vegetarian chinese food - Edit
I had first read about this place on happycow, and stopped in while driving through town back in 2012. Was just here again, and here's my Happy Family - Loma Linda review update.
Read moreThe first time here, we were on our way to Joshua Tree to attend Bhakti Fest and had stopped in for a quick lunch. To my surprise, the inside of the restaurant was quite spacious and very nicely decorated with an Asian style sensitivity. Very comfortable booth seating (wooden chairs also).
Our waitresses were two very friendly Chinese woman who converse and played with our daughter.
We got 2 lunch specials to share: the vege fish in black pepper sauce and the sauteed long green beens. Each lunch special came with a small fried spring roll, a bowl of brown or white rice, and a soup of the day. The food tasted all right, though we didn't like our soup (a gooey corn and tofu soup).
The second time here was just a few days ago. Came in for dinner, and it seemed like things stayed pretty much the same: 2 friendly waitresses, same menu, same decor.
This time we share the savory green beans and fried tofu cubes (recommended); both were both yummy. The wonton soup and the pineapple fried rice (mild flavor) were okay.
However, beware that sweet and sour soup is very gooey and peppery. I couldn't finish mine.
Overall, this is a good place to come for veggie Chinese food.
Pros: comfortable space, friendly service, large menu
Cons: kitchen can be slow, don't get sweet & sour soup

You have got to be kidding me! The hot and sour soup is the best best part of this place. Don't listen to the comments above. Great vegan food and great prices, over 100 items to choose from.

Pretty good all veg Chinese food - Edit
It's always nice to find a resturaunt that serves exclusively vegetarian food. I've had some ups and downs at this place with the food being better at times than others but never terrible. All in all it's a nice place to grab some take out or dine in and the staff is very friendly. Plus they serve only veg food! So that alone makes me want to support this business and keep them going :)

OMG!!!! - Edit
This place is so incredible- most of the time. Their meat substitutes are great but a couple dishes are so traditional they have lost their flavor. The chikn mushroom was not especially notable. Their orange chikn and oyster appetizer are WONDERFUL! I like to go with at least 3 people and share each others dishes.

Good food, good prices. - Edit
I went to Happy family on a whim and really enjoyed it. They had hundreds of different menu items and were reasonably priced (e.g. the "pork" with bamboo was eight dollars). Their portions are huge and they serve each meal with a giant bowl of rice.
Read moreThis restaurant is great for vegetarians, but may be intimidating for non-vegetarians. And it was great to know that as a vegan there were tons of options for me- something that rarely happens.
I definitely enjoyed it and will be coming back soon because it's great being able to support local vegetarian businesses.
Pros: Lots of selection, Good value
Cons: Questionable location
