Fantastic traditional Japanese Inn - Edit
We stayed in Ichikawa Ryokan and ordered the macrobiotic dinner and breakfast as there were not many vegan options in the area. However it turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Japan. The dinner was several courses of entirely vegan, traditional Japanese dishes. The hosts explained each dish as it was presented, as well as the history of the Ryokan and area. The food was all fantastic and well presented. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast of miso soup, rice and pickles. The room was also lovely, cool, quiet and comfortable. The combined food and room was expensive, but completely worth it.
