Wir haben dort ein sehr gutes Frühstück gegessen. Ich habe mich für das deftige Frühstück entschieden mit Rührtofu, Bacon und Baked Beans. Besonders das Brot und der Bacon haben mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Mein Freund hatte das Club Sandwich was ihm auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat.

Very lovingly managed café and restaurant! A great place to stop by when you're in Hamburg! The cats are all from animal rescue organizations and give the café a cosy atmosphere. The menu is varied and reasonably priced!

Cozy and animal friendly - Edit
Very good food, especially cakes and I really love that they take animal welfare seriously. They make sure that the cats who live there are not to play and that they don't get pet if they don't want to. They also have a big corner full of information material about being vegan and different animal welfare groups which are active in this part of the country. Not cheap but highly recommended.

Katers ist super süß eingerichtet und die Katzen sehr lieb. Da ich Allergikerin bin, habe ich mir essen zum mitnehmen geben lassen und es war wirklich eins der besten Sandwiches, das ich je hatte. Die beiden Mitarbeiterinnen vor Ort waren super freundlich. 10/10

Read moreHowever, for me something was lacking to be very good. The food for instance (köök and nordish breakfast) was okay-good, but not very good (e.g. the lax was too smokey for my taste).
I often judge a vegan place in regards to if I would bring my omnivore friends here and in this case I think I could, but it definitely wouldn't not be a top choice.

Schönes, gemütliches Restaurant, wir haben einen Sitzplatz neben einer schlafenden Katze gefunden, als sie wach wurde, konnte man sie auch etwas streicheln. Sehr leckeres Essen, frisch und lecker, dazu schöne Artikel am Merch-Stand, habe eine Mütze, T-Shirt und Sticker gekauft.. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, es gibt einem ein gutes Gefühl, dass man mit seinem Besuch auch die Unterbringung und Versorgung der Katzen mit unterstützt. Schön, dass man auf der Webseite auch online reservieren kann und Kartenzahlung möglich ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder her, wenn wir mal wieder in Hamburg sind 😻

Wir hatten das nordische und das deftige Frühstück. Beide waren super lecker, außergewöhnlich und kreativ. Perfekt, wenn man Lust auf ein deftiges Frühstück hat. Es gab auch Angebote für süßes Frühstück (Pancakes oder Porridge), die wir auf jeden Fall nächstes Mal probieren werden. Für einen perfekten Abschluss bestellten wir noch zwei Stücke der ansprechenden Kuchenauswahl. Hier können wir besonders den weiße Schokolade-Himbeere-Kuchen empfehlen. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die beiden Katzen Avicii und Liffey mit ihrem frischen Katzengras ☺️

Wir waren in unserer Mittagspause dort, daher mussten wir länger warten😄es war aber gar nicht so voll. Da nimmt man den Ort dann etwas anders wahr. Die Katzen haben uns aber gut abgelenkt.

Food: The Vischbrötchen was very tasty. The sauce was good. For dessert we had ice cream with Franzbrötchen, really worth trying. For me it was new to try vegan fish but they nailed it. My non-vegan friends were surprised that everything tasted so good.
Read moreCats: I'm always critical when it comes to cat cafes. Not sure if the cats really enjoy it there. There were a lot of people trying to pet the cats, some didn't want to be pet. Totally understandable. The staff keeps reminding customers how to treat the cats, which was good. They know how to read the cats and tell the customers to stop if they see the cats don't enjoy it. Not sure if every kitty enjoys living in the café 😕 still not 100 % convinced about the cat cafe concept.

Sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, top Service, Wartezeiten waren völlig ok obwohl es ziemlich voll war. Wir haben uns durch die Karte probiert: Burger, Maultaschen-Salat mit extra Auberginen-Hering, Backvisch-Brötchen, Rührtofu; danach Eiskaffee, Franzbecher, Coffee-Cheesecake und Franzkuchen. Alles war super lecker, wir kommen definitiv wieder! Preise sind angemessen und für Hamburg eher im mittleren Niveau.

The place and concept of the previous Café Katzentempel remained. The service was quite slow. I needed to wait a few minutes to be seated, even though there were very few guests and many free tables. When they assigned me to a table, they didn’t give me a menu and said they would get one, which didn’t happen. Luckily I could grab one from the neighboring table. I ordered a breakfast with bread, scrambled tofu and bacon, which was good. However, I don’t think I will come again, because the service was too slow for no good reason.

We visited more than a few places with the keyword Currywurst in HK, only to find out that curry wurst is not currently served. However, Katers Köök delivered!

Read moreHad the 'Pfannkuchen Apfelstrudel' a pancake filled with apple sauce. The pancake was great, nice and fluffy. The 'Nordische Bruschetta' was really good, loved the lox and herring. Very impressive. The Franzbrötchen cake was pretty good too (though regular Franzbrötchen are better, but those are hard to top), the cocoa with ice cream and whip was delicious.

Read moreThe food was very yummy. We had the Deftiges Frühstücks (savoury breakfast) and also shared some cakes. The coffee was great with different plant milk options including vanilla soy, yummm. We also tried the Freshpresso - an orange juice and espresso mix - which was interesting and refreshing.
The cafe has a small shop with some nice merchandise to support looking after the six rescue cats who come from all over the world.
Funny: When I came back to my seat from checking out the cake display, Rebell the orange cat had already claimed my seat =^..^= and was stretching out on my bag, haha.
The staff was very friendly and attentive.
