Incredible food, friendly staff, nice vibe

After visiting a Loving Hut in the US, I knew I had to check this one out when I got back to London. I wasn’t disappointed. We had the mixed starter sharing platter which was great - especially the sesame prawn toast. I also had the chicken chow mein which was so, so tasty - pre-vegan I loved chow mein and I haven’t found anywhere that does a nice vegan chow mein! Will definitely be returning!

Pros: Insanely tasty food, Great mock meats, Friendly staff

Delicious and great prices

It’s hard to find decent food in London that’s under £10 but this Loving Hut has so much to offer. I had the laksa which came with vegetables and loads of different toes of mock meat and I could choose the type of noodle I wanted. The portion was massive and I ended up having half of it for breakfast the next day. Laksa is my favourite food so having access to such a tasty one that’s cheap is really good.

Pros: Great prices

Best vegan restaurant in London

I absolutely love Loving Hut. The food is great, the staff are so friendly and passionate. The fish and chips are really something special. The menu has such a range of options that it would be hard not to find something for everyone.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good value, Extensive menu

Cons: Usually busy, Disorganised

love the hut

I've visited a few loving huts and have rarely been dissatisfied.
This is a solid option for people craving some far east food.
We started with seaweed and spring rolls which went well with the complimentary crackers.
Main courses were brocolli and Pak choi, sweet and sour mock chicken and prawns on sizzling black bean sauce(really sizzling). All dishes were good and the black bean sauce had some bite.
Worth the effort.

Pros: 100%, tasty, staff

cheap and tasty!

Love this place, it's the first vegan Chinese iv come across that actually tastes and is exactly the same as a non vegan! Delicious dishes and their faux meat is so real. Very flaversome and the price just means I can enjoy it as often as I wish!

Pros: authentic Chinese dishes , cheap, sit in or takeaway

Huge choice but stodgy

This place is great if you want a cheap, stodgy, vegan, faux meat hit. Many standard Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes with faux meat using vital wheat gluten - huge range of dishes and always good menu availability that's very reasonably priced. Its ok but there are lots of thick, gloopy orange/red, non-descript sauces, it's a bit greasy and quite salty.

Staff are friendly but service is very slow.

Kind of odd video playing in the background. Odd atmosphere - fast food style as opposed to a restaurant.

Pros: faux meat options are plentiful, nice staff

Amazing food

I love the food here - I'm a big fan of mock meat and you can get all your old Chinese favourites (if you used to like non-vegan Chinese) like prawn crackers, chicken and sweetcorn soup, duck pancakes, sweet and sour chicken, sezchuan beef.... the food is always delicious and there's so much variety too.
The staff are very nice, service is prompt, and the atmosphere is nice too. Also desserts are delicious - cheesecake, choc cake, carrot cake...
Must try!! Good value too.

Pros: The food is soo good, Prompt service, Friendly staff

Great value buffet

I often go here for the lunch buffet which is all you can eat and very cheap for what you get. Nice Asian-style food choices, both vegetables and fake meat - downside for me is that they only have a couple of gluten-free options usually.

Pros: Great food, Low price

Cons: Not many GF options

Delicious take away

I often come here to get take away.

I love the food here, it's not the healthiest but really hits the spot when you're after a treat.

I often have the chicken burger which is delicious and crispy. The chocolate cake is great too.

The staff are friendly, it can be a bit disorganised when it's busy but they are always very apologetic.

Pros: huge menu, very close to tube station, good value for money

Cons: can be a bit slow when busy

My favourite not healthy food

I usually eat healthy food but this place is so good that I make an exception sometimes ;) Typical Chinese food: a lot of mock meat, soy sauce and fat. But it taste so good... The restaurant looks very kitschy (fake decorations, plastic flowers on the tables) but somehow it's still quite nice.

Very nice

Nice place with extensive vegan menu and great service. Big menu, dishes are quite small so you should get at least two things a person, which is still affordable. The food was pretty good, and it was on the table in no time. Would definately eat here again when in the area.

Absolutely Amazing!

The menu is HUGE and all of it is vegan! It was actually really hard to pick something haha. The dumplings for starters were gorgeous. My pad thai was delicious and everyone else loved their meal too, and were very impressed by the vegan beef.
There's a few western style desserts too and the chocolate cake was amazing, pretty rich but I still managed the whole slice!
AND it's very affordable! For starters, mains and desserts and drinks for 5 people it was only £80! That's £16 per person and I was stuffed

Pros: Delicious Food, Huge Menu

Cons: Hard to pick!

Sizzle sizzle

Always awesome food at Loving Huts (if you like fake meats like I do). I had a sizzling fish dish which is quite entertaining when it arrives! And hey, not often that you get vegan fish that's actually good! Someone recommended the chocolate cake so I had that, and woah! that was the most generous portion of cake I've ever seen! Good stuff

Terrible

Second time we've visited this restaurant and first time it wasn't that great but the novelty of being entirely vegan and being able to get Peking duck made us go back again. Second time was worse. It was all just gloopy and flavourless. We ordered a Sichuan dish because they are famously spicy. This was was probably the blandest of them all. Staff are well meaning but a bit useless and the lady in charge is useless and quite rude. Better Chinese food can be had at a non-vegan Chinese restaurants.

Pros: vegan

Cons: not good food!
