Good deep fried food

I got the vegan deep fried tofu, nuggets, onion rings, and battered sausage. They were all good but a bit oily. The food is definitely very deep fried but if that’s what you’re looking for it’s great.

Pros: Vegan options, Cook in separate vegetable oil

Cons: A bit greasy

Good Vegan Chipper

Decent chipper food for Vegans, it hits the spot when you need that greasy meal at the end of a Friday night. The reason I'm leaving 3 starts is because I think they can do better.

Pros: Philly cheese steak is the best thing on the menu

Cons: Didn't like the vegan mayo.

Vegan fast food

Vegan fast food, not super healthy but it is a traditional late night chip shop with an extensive vegan menu. Wish the chips were slightly better!

If you love junk food this is the place!

If you love junk and cheap food this is the right place, they have a lot of vegan options and I suggest the double cheese bacon burger, the philly cheese steak sandwich, the mayo and garlic chips and the curry bacon chips.
The Mcguinnes combo instead doesn’t impress me much.
I don’t try the pizza yet.

Pros: A lot of vegan options, Cheap, Position

Cons: They also serve meat, No delivery before Covid19 , At night full of drunk people

Would give five stars if I could

If it was possible to give this place a five I would. The only traditional chipper in Dublin with a vegan menu, which has grown and grown over the years. Originally came for the vegan battered sausies and burgers, but the chips are among the best you'll get and they've developed a delicious pizza too. My highlight is the phillie cheese steak sandwich - lovely and spicy with the srutan dripping in cheese.

Pros: Big vegan menu, Junk food , Separate fryer

Cons: Can get very packed and service slow as a result

Amazing

I went in and was amazed by the amount of options for vegans and that it was almost as big as the main menu and they gave you so many options for food!

Pros: Huge Vegan Menu, Reasonably Priced, Very helpful

Cons: Small seating area (better for takeaway)

McGuinesses

This is OK vegan junk food ... and very packed with drunk people ordering food during the evening. I ordered the vegan Philly and the vegan garlic and cheese fries. In my opinion, the fries blew the sandwich away, as I didn’t like the seitan in the sandwich much. I’m guessing the food here would taste amazing if I were super drunk. 😉

Best vegan chipper in Dublin

McGuinness is a must go takeaway for every vegan [and non-vegan] in Dublin

Friendly staff, well cooked food and a vegan menu with loads of options and reasonable price

Separate vegan pan

Very crowded at peak hours especially because of the location (near all the good pubs and clubs)

I would recommend Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and the Double Burger With Bacon and Cheese

Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Good location

Cons: Crowded sometimes

Gluten free options too!

Had chips with cheese and garlic mayo (all vegan) for 4.90€. Very impressed. Other option for me was a GF pizza. Will be back. Staff friendly (Indian).

Try it all

Never been a disappointing trip to McG's, whatever time of day or night. Other joints should take notes. Delicious chipper food that doesn't taste too greasy or thrown together cheaply. Would recommend to all.

Pros: Large selection, Affordable, Quick service

Cons: No delivery

Full vegan chipper menu

I really love the food from this chipper. Everything I have tried so far has been excellent, although I always come back to the “bacon double cheese burger” - it’s the best vegan burger I’ve had anywhere! The chips are great too. Would give five stars if I could.

Pros: Extensive menu, Great food

Cons: No delivery service, Very little space to eat in

Wow!

Massive vegan chipper menu. Anyone who loves traditional chipper must try and any vegans visiting who want a taste of Dublin need to order a vegan battered sausage and chips.

Delicious vegan junk food

I had read about this chipper a while ago and was delighted when during a trip to Dublin I realised it was 5 minutes from my hotel. Had curry chips and onion rings from the vegan menu - absolutely gorgeous!!!

the best chipper in Dublin

We should be allowed to give a 5 star rate. I know they are not only vegan/vegetarian but it's the only chipper with an insane number of vegan options.
It's amazing. And they gave a separate vegan pan.
C'mon happycow, don't be like extremists vegans, give them a 5 star.

Pros: a lot if vegan burgers, sandwiches, and pizza

Cons: small

Absolutely amazing!!

They have amazing pizza and burgers! Especially the Chicken style burger with cheese! My non-vegan boyfriend said it was the best vegan burger he has ever tasted. The bread was so good and the garlic dressing. Super friendly staff. I want to visit Dublin again just so I can eat here! It deserves 5 stars, but this app only allows 5 stars for fully vegan restaurants.

AMAZING

I wish I could give it 5 stars. So far my fave is the curry cheese chips but I'll probably end up trying everything! So much choice and value for money too.

Pros: Lovely staff who pay attention to details, vegan food in different colour bags so no worrying

Cons: Little to no seating
