They double dip on tips - Edit
Title says it all.
Read more> itemized bill on left, pre-tax total $72.70 then restaurant adds 15% tip (for 3 people)... new total is $90.07
> THEN the receipt to sign arrives (right side) with a very large "PRE-TIP AMT" of $90.07... which is actually post the 15% tip they added. like what! legit misleading to say "PRE-TIP AMT"
> THEN (!) 'gratuity guidelines' at the bottom suggest 18% or 20% tip amounts calculated on top of the total with the 15% tip already included. so if you pick the lowest amount, 18%, you end up unknowingly tipping 37%.
superrrrr shady.
