So much Love - Edit
Very homey place. The place seems to have been around for a long time and expanding. Looking at their concept this is no wonder. The whole place is gluten-free, and pure vegan. Many dishes are raw and plenty of soy-free choices are available. Having said that its amazing how everything still is very tasty and quiet inexpensive compared to many other choices in Columbus. And last but not least the radiant staff will make your day!

Great for gluten-free vegans - Edit
Everything is vegan AND gluten free. Food has enough going on to be interesting but is straightforward enough to share with your Omni friends. Large portions, so be careful not to over order!

Great Food, Off-Putting Books - Edit
If you come here for some delicious AND healthy vegan food, you should certainly be satisfied. I love the food, and I also love how I feel after eating it (not bloated or sluggish like I would be from greasy food). Staff is friendly and it’s a super cute space too. However, in the small little shop on the side (selling chocolates, chapstick, books, etc.) they sell & promote anti-vax books/info. I had to contemplate if I would continue going there after finding that out.

Great variety, so yummy! - Edit
The food is delicious and there are many choices ranging from dips, soups, bowls, wraps, cheezecake, smoothies, etc. They have a permanent full menu and then an additional 6 or so "specials". Gluten free and raw options abound! On my visit yesterday I discovered that the cafe has now doubled in size by expanding to the building space nextdoor- way more seating now!!

Fantastic! - Edit
Upon entering this small, but spacious cafe, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. I find most eating establishments to be forced with their greetings, so this was a nice change of pace.
Read moreI chose a wooden table near the door, and sat down to peruse the menu. The table setting included cards describing the daily specials, napkins and silverware, and a full bottle of filtered water for our enjoyment.
The wall was a bright yellow, sunny but not overpowering, and provided the perfect canvas for the colorful paintings that adorned it.
The menu is well rounded, offering soups, salads, wraps, smoothies.. everything you would expect or want from a vegan cafe.
We started off the meal with a 1/2 sampler, which includes two of their five dips and a choice of dippers (for $8, at the time of printing.) We picked the spinach artichoke, which my companion went crazy over, and the notuna spread with chips and vegetables. The notuna is so creamy and nutty, with a pleasing texture and a tangy, savory flavor. I enjoyed it so well that I ordered some to go as I was leaving. ($1/oz. And worth it.)
Next, I ordered a bowl of raw broccoli soup. She brought it with two spoons, but my guest was so busy devouring the dips that she told me to go ahead and enjoy. The light green soup was served cool, but not cold, and had a mint finish. I had to inquire about the ingredients, and was told that there is no mint in the soup, however. The nutritional yeast was a touch grainy in the soup, but not to the point of being troublesome.
My entree was the pesto quesadilla, and my friend got the pizza quesadilla. Both were served piping hot, and mine was accompanied by a fresh pico and homemade creamy cashew sour cream.
The quesadilla was loaded with vegetables and some Daiya cheese. After it cooled enough to be able to eat, I bit into the crispness of the whole grain tortilla and enjoyed the creaminess of the cheese as it melted with the mushrooms and onions hidden in this gem.
I was going to order a smoothie, but I was so full from my meal that I had to pack half of my quesadilla to go.. so the smoothie will have to wait until next time.
I highly recommend that you make the trip to this cafe for some amazing food with heart and soul.
Pros: Fresh, locally sourced, vegan and raw food; Welcom
Cons: Can be a bit pricey

Portia’s Cafe - Edit
Food was good and cheesecake was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint was that they had no highchair for our toddler! Only a booster seat, which couldn’t keep him contained and made it hard for us to enjoy the meal. I would definitely suggest getting a couple high chairs for families with smaller children but I would love to go back and try different dishes!

I tried the thanksgiving quesadilla and it was yummy. My boyfriend had the green bean curry (it was a special) and it was yummy but not mind blowing. I really liked the citrus parfait for dessert! The people were really nice!

All vegan menu and newly expanded space - Edit
The menu is 100% vegan: dips, soups, starters, salads, starters, wraps, quesadillas, burritos, bowls, desserts - all vegan. The wraps themselves are made in-house with teff flour, and are delicious and flavorful. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, many are long-term employees and know about all the menu items. They have a delicious creamy cashew sauce that is offered as a substitution for their vegan mayonnaise option. And good news: they broken into a neighboring store, and have doubled their space. This just happened three months ago, around January-February 2019.

A wonderful place. Our #1 choice. - Edit
We discovered this restaurant last year, and we love it. The food is amazingly great. The staff is all so warm and friendly. The “vibe” or ambiance is mellow and very relaxing. There is no loud blaring non-music (selected to discourage calm conversation, and meant to “move” people out rapidly) as has become common elsewhere. This is now our #1 choice for a restaurant in Columbus.

Healthy vegan - Edit
While Portia's Cafe is not my favorite vegan spot in Columbus by far, a lot of folks do really like it. They offer vegan food that's on the healthier side and everything very much tastes like what non vegans think vegan food is supposed to taste like.

Great place for vegan eats and treats - Edit
We are visiting from UK. Not struggling to eat vegan in Columbus but we were craving something with less carbs as a bit of a detox and Portia's ticked all the boxes. Really friendly service and fabulous menu. I had a wholesome curried vegetable soup and a wonderful tofu salad bowl packed with salad and with great dressings. My wife had the guacamole tortilla wrap which was substantial so the waiter, who was super-friendly and gave us some tips on where we could enjoy a walk, was happy to box up half as a take out so we could then share a delicious waffle. All in all a great find and we hope to be able to return before we go home.

Just a wonderful place - Edit
We stopped in while passing through Columbus and it was well worth the little detour from I-70. The food was nutritious and delicious - loved the gluten-free wraps. Enjoyed a tofu wrap, pad Thai rice bowl (did not taste like pad Thai, but was still awesome), burrito bowl, chocolate mousse, and mango berry cheesecake. The staff were SO nice and accommodating to our substitution requests, and helped us pack up our to-go food in our cooler. We also loved their commitment to sustainability with reusable straws and biodegradable products.

I loved this place. Wish there was something like this near where I live. Had the curry veggie soup. Very hearty and delicious. Followed that with a beet salad. Yum! My main dish was the Pad Thai bowl. I wanted to order and eat everything on the menu. I even had two macaroons for desert. WOW IS ALL I can say.

south beach in Columbus Ohio - Edit
Sooooo, this place totally reminds me of a shop in south beach. Great food, upbeat colors , served but serve yourself , totally a place to chill at comfortably. I had the Mediterranean wrap, woah!!!!! So yummy, totally messy:-) I don’t have My hubbys mouth , so I would compare the size to a xxl burrito at chipotle. Hubby ate the normal burrito. It was gone before I blinked.. He loved it.

Fantastic find outside of Columbus.
Read morePortia's is a little slice of heaven (as was my cheezecake, but we'll get to that later). I popped in at 9:59 on a Sunday morning, 1 minute technically before they opened. By the time I had finished my meal, about 20 minutes later, every seat was filled. What an amazing community there is here, a sign of a great business doing great things for the community.
I ordered the Breakfast Wrap, which was light and flavorful and perfectly balanced. The pickles were the star of the show, being someone who doesn't like typical pickles, these sweet planks really made my tastebuds soar. Overall, the dish was very good but very light. I needed more food.
I went straight for the cheezecake. This was something i noticed the night before while searching for dairy-free milkshakes (thanks Whole Foods!) And a slice of coffee cheezecake sounded perfect this morning. Creamy, sweet, and fresh, i'll be thinking about this dish for a while to come. What a great staple dessert for the vegan community.
Wonderful service, great food, and a unique experience made this restaurant a top pick in my books. Looking forward to returning to try the ever raved about Pad Thai. Cheers!
Pros: Delicious Food, Friendly staff
Cons: Small, but quick table turnover, Always busy

Crown Jewel of Columbus - Edit
I live in Chicago which is now littered with vegan options. Columbus is starting to boom with vegan food as well and Portia’s is leading the charge. So it’s nice to have a solid option whenever I visit for work or family to stop in here. They focus on raw and organic non gmo goodness. Great daily specials and always a happy crowd. You’ll feel light, full, happy, and energized leaving this haven 🌝

Who knew a wrap could be so tasty? - Edit
I wasn't even in the mood for a wrap but stopped in anyway. This is a quaint little place that made me feel as if I walked into a time zone of some sort. I've never felt so 'big city' before. This place is kind of like a country general store. They sell good food, fresh produce, soap and lip balm. Anywho, I had the Best Tofu Wrap and a slice of lemon cheezecake - absolutely delicious!!!!! The wrap was big and I was certain it would be too much until I tasted how good it was....every last morsel went in my belly!
