What I’ve always wanted here... - Edit
The thought occurred to me: THIS is what I have been wanting since I moved here. Serious LOCAL food and flavors with the vegan integrity, and gluten free options. There’s a large Dr. Sebi quote on the wall, and a joie de vivre in the people. You’re doing this one right, New Orleans. Grateful.

Delicious! - Edit
This was our first stop in NOLA. We chose to get four options. I had BBQ Cauliflower, Cheesy Loaded Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes and BBQ Baked Beans. We also got ice cream! It was absolutely amazing! I was pleasantly full. Great prices for vegan food!

Amazing Vegan Soul Food - Edit
I can't say enough good things about this little gem! It's been over a month since we visited New Orleans, and we're still talking about how delicious it was! It's good old-fashioned soul food with ample portions, and it's all vegan! No wonder the place was packed; it's some of the best vegan soul food I've ever had (and I've had a decent amount). Highly recommended, and we can't wait to go back!

So glad we went - Edit
We made this a must stop on our New Orleans vacation and so glad we did! Food was fresh and delicious! We had both of the fried cauliflower dishes which were tasty and crispy, the okra was the best I've ever had, the mac-n-cheese was creamy and the jambalaya was well seasoned. Servings are large, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but that's not a bad thing 😉

Vegan Comfort Food! - Edit
Had the 3 item combo plate with a delicious salad (Cajun ranch dressing), the Mac and cheese, and a mushroom ragu. Everything was on point! A little far from Bourbon Street but worth the trip.

Coconut based - Edit
I think they said their food was coconut based so most of it is slightly sweet. Not a fan of sweet food but everything was very good!

Cute and Yummy - Edit
Really great place. It's in a tiny little house with cafeteria style food service. All the food is super good but not too fatty or heavy, which is what I like. Also the woman who served me was super helpful! It seems that the menu changes often, which is cool.

Amazing! - Edit
This is a great new addition to New Orleans. Let them know if it’s your first visit and they’ll explain everything about the food and ordering. I got the blackened cauliflower (my favorite spicy), jambalaya (also great), mac n cheese (good but weirdly sweet), and bread pudding with caramel sauce (other favorite). My meat-loving friend ate his whole plate and said he was impressed! Only con was that the ice cream was too icy for my taste... but there are plenty of other sweet and savory options.

Exactly what a vegan in New Orleans should be eating! - Edit
Sooooo frickin good! Honestly, the best meal I had in New Orleans. If you want authentic southern comfort food (without the animal cruelty) this is the place for you. And the price was amazing.

Yummy soul food! - Edit
What a treat! I broke away from a work conference to find vegan food, and this totally hit the spot. BBQ cauliflower was amazing. The greens were tender and full of flavor. And yum, the potatoes! A 3-veg plate is $11.99 and is packed with food. Definitely a must try for travelers to NOLA!

Cafeteria style, simple and delicious - Edit
I found out about this place from one amazing waitress who turned out to be also a vegan and who understood my slight frustration - NOLA is the place with the best seafood, but it is not very vegan-friendly.
Read moreI was very excited and little nervous to bring my carnivores friends.
And it turned out to be way beyond my expectations. It is a little place, a cafeteria-style restaurant. The menu is changing every day, you can't get bored. I wanted everything. I picked mac&cheese (oh my, way better than regular dairy version, very light), cauliflower (for me it was too spicy, but I am Czech, so...), mushrooms (like by my mama) and rice with some curry creamy sauce (i can't remember). It was all yummy!
Of course, I couldn't resist and got ice cream and again I wanted everything. In the end, I picked chocolate and banana swirl (OMG!!!). Delicious, I would never guess this ice is vegan!
Seating is limited, I understood it is popular take-out, but we were lucky to grab some seats and enjoyed the food and ice cream outside.
My carnivore friends were surprised how vegan food taste like, especially speaking about the mac&cheese and ice cream.
Staff was great, friendly, happy and patient (I really had a hard to pick "only" 4 sides out of so many great options).
Thumbs up for using eco-friend take out containers!
Thank you for this great experience! Another reason to re-visit NOLA.

New Orleans New Restuarant Treasure - Edit
The concept of Vegan creole/home cooking is long overdue. I experineced exemplary customer service and a palate party. The (Tues) eggplant lasagna was sooo good. The all vegan sides like collards, sweet potatoes, orka gumbo and jambalaya did not disappoint. I hear the mac'cheese will make you "slap ya Mama" Looking forward to returning again for other delicacies. The menu is different each day Mon-Sat. Dining area is a bit small yet during my visit a seat was readily available. They do have outside dining. Can't wait to try the selections of Vegan ice cream!

Mannnn, I had the jambalaya, okra gumbo, chickpea Patty, and macaroni and cheese and I still want some more! I definitely gotta come back to hit up the rest of the items they had. Oh I gotta come back for their ice cream and smoothie! And best of all the service was great!

Amazing soul food! - Edit
I really enjoyed it, they give you large portion of delicious vegan food for a fair price. I liked the fact that they have a NOLA style vegan food as a tourist I felt like I was experiencing the local food. And a big plus for the ice creams they have a large choice, I took the banana frosting and I loved it, again pretty cheap for an ice cream and really good!

Great place when you want a little of everything - Edit
This place cooks several yummy treats on a sort of buffet line and let's you choose 2 to 4 things. It's easy to take what you want to-go because your food is already put into a styrofoam box. The portion sizes are great, and so is the food. Also has desserts and cornbread.
