I am new to Chicago and all I hear about is how great the diner is. This place was pretty dirty and I could not make myself comftorable due to the fact I felt like rats lived there. Prices were decent food was below average. The services was horrible I felt as though I was at a circus and felt that I would have gotten a better performence out of clowns. I got dirty utensils and waited for over 30 min for my food.

i was pretty disappointed when i went to the Chicago Diner for the first and probably last time with my girlfriend. our waiter was pretty nice, but i was not impressed but the philly cheese steak and my girlfriend didn't take more than 2 bites out of her grillled cheese sandwich. i guess i was just expecting more from a veggie restaurant with such history and reputation in chicago. on a good note, the blueberry-banana smoothie was pretty good and the BBQ wings i had were not bad.
