Sandwiches are great - Edit
Loved the breakfast style sandos. Cookies are okay but a little brittle. Tried the coffee plant milks a few times and really couldn't get into it.

Best Breakfast in Tokyo - Edit
We had the breakfast sandwich and it was unbelievably delicious. The coffee and matcha drinks with macadamia nut milk were great too. The space is small but very charming and cozy. Inspired sustainable decor and concept. We keep returning and it’s worth it!

Great for brunch in Tokyo! - Edit
Came in for the Ecc Muffin, and was not disappointed. Didn’t get to try the crepes, which was a sad, but the deli sides were also great. Finished it off with an iced chai macadamia milk, which was great.

Had 3 different bagel burgers and the macadamia nut milk, so delicious. Also brought 2 non-veg friends and they were blown away. Small and cozy. Highly recommend!

Amazing burgers! - Edit
Found this little joint by luck and they were amazing! I got the Cheese Vurger with two side dishes. You can choose the side dishes out of something like 6 options. I got the red beets salad and the ratatouille. Also shared a glass of organic beer with someone else. The Vurger was amazing. One of the best of its kinds. The side dishes and the beer were decent too. It was a fine day and we took the outdoor seating. We had a wonderful time there. The pricing was reasonable. Forgot the exact number by something like 1200 yen for the burger with the dishes (check with store for the exact price) - except that I found the beer a bit expensive, which was 1000 yen for a bottle. I haven't tried the pastries and so I'm determined to come back.

Epicly wholesome! - Edit
Gorgeous little space with freshly made salads, coffees and snacks. I bought two of the macadamia-nut based cookies and they were delicious. The very friendly owner advised that no added sugar is used in the cooking (dates and bananas used instead) and the pulp from the nut milk is used in the sweets. Definitely appreciate the no-waste practices. Everything is more expensive than other places, but given how wholesome the whole place is, I understand why. Definitely recommend!

Delicious - Edit
A little on the pricey side considering the portion sizes but nonetheless very tasty and in my opinion worth the price.

Breakfast muffins are insanely good - Edit
We visited from Scotland and loved this cosy cafe. We had the 'Ecc' Muffin and was so impressed at how authentic it tasted. We came back a few days later and had 2 each! I'd love to go back if only Japan was round the corner. Worth a visit. The cookies and granola was also lovely.

Worth a visit! - Edit
First up, the breakfast muffin splits. Top notch. Just have to say that straight away.
Read moreAnyway, cosy little place (perhaps a bit cramped ahah) with reaaally nice savoury food, and I liked the salads too! I didn't try the sweets but I'd really recommend the egg style muffin split. Tasted like the real thing but without that weird or bad feeling that you get sometimes when stuff tastes too uncomfortably similar to the original. Hard to explain but it was just awesome. My husband liked it so much he ordered a second one haha.
Not a place you can sit in for a long time as it's small, but definitely worth a visit!
Pros: Yummy!
Cons: Small premises, kind of squished if you're sitting

Come for the ‘Egg’ muffin! - Edit
We had the ecc muffin and a special korean sauce muffin, both were delicious! The ‘egg’ one especially tasted so much like egg! The sides were a bit lacking though, but we did come late so that might’ve been why. The place is nice, but very small! Overall a nice place to visit if you’re in the area😄

The Nuts Exchange is a charming little cafe located close to Yoyogi Park. It’s all-vegan, and low-waste too! No plastic garbage 🤠
We tried the Ecc McMuffin, which tasted like an upscale version of the McDonalds breakfast menu item. This was very well-done, nearly indistinguishable from the original. The chocolate chip cookie was very good too. I’d love to try one of their drinks made with housemate macadamia milk sometime, but they’re not cheap.
The shop is small, with just eight seats, none of which looked particularly comfortable. But the service was friendly and polite and the vibe was nice, and Yoyogi Park is just a short walk away. Recommended!!

Cozy Atmosphere and Delicious Food - Edit
We stopped by The Nuts Exchange a couple of days before its official hard opening. We got the ECC Muffin, the Sweet Donut Balls, the Salty Donut Balls, a Macadaccino, and a black coffee. Everything was delicious, and the flavors exceeded my expectations. I love that they are very much committed to the zero waste concept as well. I am thrilled to add it to my still quite short list of excellent vegan breakfast places in Tokyo!

FINALLY AN AUTHENTIC AUSTRALIAN CAPPUCCINO IN TOKYO... BUT BETTER - Edit
Finally Tokyo serves an Australian Style Cappuccino but with MACADAMIA MILK!!!
Read moreThe perfect froth and cocoa powder sits on top of the homemade nuts milk that embosses Australian coffee culture and delights my tastebuds like never before. I couldn't be more excited for 'The Nuts Exchange' opening in Tokyo recently.
This drink is called the 'MACADACCINO' , yes you can say it with an attitude, and it is on the top of my list for a Tokyo Coffee tour.
For food, I order the ECC muffin everytime: Plant Sausage patty with Yuba as cheese and a spiced yellow paste as the egg sitting in a mini McMuffin bun.
Also the pumpkin, coriander tangy dressing deli plate is to die for!!!!
What I love about this establishment is that there is a strict ZERO WASTE POLICY! From the outside it stands out with it's re-cycled windows and wood exterior that compliments a Japanese heritage exotica. Inside you won't find any plastic with second hand mugs and glass jars serving your drinks, they also stocking Butterfly cups for take-away (new combustible no plastic cardboard origami style cups). They also collected gorgeous plates and cutlery that adds to quirky-ness and homey feeling. There is a basket full of re-used paper shopping bags which you can grab to take-away food/drinks for later.
Japan is known for disturbing amounts of plastic and packaging over-kill so for this level of implementation to counter act waste on the environment truly resonates with a top level vegan mindset.
The staff are all mainly vegan and heard few even moved to Tokyo to be apart of this new cafe and 'nuts' community. Adore the intensity of manager's efforts to keep the conversation and service working.
5/5 stars. As soon as borders open I think tourists, especially Aussie coffee lovers, will be flocking. I'll be enjoying the quiet before the storm until then.
Pros: MACADACCINO, ECC MUFFIN, ZERO WASTE POLICY
