I am Zeena, and I am Palestinian by religion. I was really disheartened by the staff's racist hate, destructive comments, and dehumanizing behaviour towards the Palestinian community. The staff were miserable; the food was fatty, old, chewy, and simply of very poor quality. Food was served cold, and they were giving the impression that we should not come here as this place does not belong to Palestinians.

I’m confident the food here poisoned me. It’s the only food I ate in the last 24 hours that I did not eat in the proceeding days. There was also a huge amount of salt to kill someone. When I complained to the manager Anthony he was unresponsive and ignored me completely. Not Recommended.

I entered the restaurant with my friend wearing my hijab. One of the staff members commented, looking at my burka, Is this Halloween or something? I asked the man what his problem was. And he replied, "I don't like it; I don't like your religion; it says to kill me, and I don't want to be killed." He then begins arguing over religion, and then another employee tries to stop him. Another staff member in the background can then be heard yelling, "Get out of here! F---ing racist!" I asked the supervisor to intervene, but he also ignored and supported his team. Further, they didn't even serve food, mentioning that we were disrupting a public place and being very racist. I literally had tears in my eyes as everybody was staring at me, and I left the place without having the food. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Hi, I am of Pakistan origin. I went to a restaurant with my family, including my wife and five children. The manager told me you have a lot of kids and then started asking questions like, Did you marry your own sister, and is this your first or second wife, etc.?

Everybody in the vicinity started laughing and giggling while we were placing the order. The manager was screaming, giving us finger and making faces as a signal that we should go away. In addition, he told me not to take too many of the forks, spoons, napkins, or utensils when I asked for them throughout our meal. He mentioned that I know you guys tend to stock up and hoard free things at your house.

I've learned from this encounter that Anthony Martinez, the manager, is a racist and undoubtedly dislikes the Muslim community. I would advise against visiting this location.

I was using the restroom & saw one of the staff member used the toilet and didn’t wash hands. Next I see, he was serving food without washing hand. This was totally unhygienic & unacceptable. The staff itself is very rude, misbehaved and I don’t think I want to go again here. Food that is delivered GETS YOU SICK. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Somehow, when I walked in, I didn't feel good. The manager started asking for a lot of personal details. He stared at me as I attempted to ignore him. I ordered some dish, and it was way too salty. I was feeling uneasy and experiencing excruciating pain in my head after eating the dish, which subsequently resulted in upset stomach and food illness. I complained to the manager but he ignored it completely. I was later rushed to the urgent care in the night. I would advise against visiting Pleasant Hill location.
