Ok wow. I’m IN LOVE with this place!!! Soooooo f#%*ing tasty I’m still in shock. This place takes vegna food to the next level. It’s greek authentic too!! Tzaziki and Greek salad with kalamata. The Veganaki special is perfect to say the least and the omelette is amazing too!

Lovely little place! Had the moussaka and the cinnamonade (cinnamon, orange and cloves). Moussaka was lovely and tasted fresh and healthy, cinnamonade was super sweet but lovely also. Worth a visit :)

After travelling round Cyclades I found great ease eating vegan. Many wonderful dishes. So back in Athens!, I decided to try a 100% vegan place.
Read moreIn truth, I was a little underwhelmed.Simple minimal decor in cafe style eatery. I fancied a few delicacies that are not usually vegan. The moussaka was okay but a richness to taste of soy minced perhaps lacking. The Crete dakos was not so pleasant... the broken tusks were a bit solid and not what I suspected. The tsaziki was too heavy. But there were many other dishes so maybe I just made wrong choice.
Pros: Everything vegan and inexpensive
Cons: Lacked a little taste

Finally, Vegan Moussaka! - Edit
On my last day in Athens I finally convinced my older sister to eat someplace vegan. We’d spent the entire trip going to places she wanted to eat and I was left thinking I wouldn’t get to try any authentic Grecian cuisine other than Greek salads minus feta. Haha... But I was so happy we visited Veganaki! The location is very convenient as it was close not only to our hotel, but within walking distance of several of Athen’s most popular attractions. 10/10 customer service and delicious food! The moussaka with almondmilk béchamel was scrumptious and SO filling (big portion too!)! The dessert was next level. I thought I was full until I nibbled at it and ended up gobbling it all down! The atmosphere was bright and inviting and there was a small corner full of vegan books if you have or want to make time to take a gander at them. My sister ended up liking it too :)

We were very excited that this restaurant was open on New Year’s Day and completely vegan. The tiramisu was just ok and did not taste fresh. The menu items my family members wanted to eat were not available that day which was disappointing. The falafel wrap was very good and fresh tasting. I had never eaten moussaka before and was very excited to try it. I thought it would be similar to shepherds pie but it almost had a nutmeg/allspice taste. I did not care for it. The female server was very nice and spoke English.

I finally eat a proper vegan "Greek" meal, same as a good taverna but all vegan😄everything was delicious from the salad to the dessert! A bit more friendly atmosphere will be just really really perfect, even if the people were kind was a bit to cold for me, I'm use to this friendly atmosphere of Greece 😊
