Great waffle! Ambience is lacking - Edit
The waffles are great! In my opinion perfect consistency, the cream was super-good and the salted caramel syrup as well.

In touristy area within a packed, tacky shopping center, with no place to sit at.
Price is also a little over the top (depends on the amount of toppings, but around 5,50€ for a simple one to 7,50€) and the waffle itself is not big. For a to go-product in my opinion a bit too expensive (but of course touristy area).

Lovely waffle, very rich chocolate sauce but yummy. Potato Vegan waffles are available next to the standard store. These were also great, particularly the rosemary salt.

Great vegan waffle! - Edit
I had the waffle with chocolate and strawberries. My boyfriend had a normal one and he was feeling a bit full after but mine wasn’t that heavy. The sign said gluten free and organic so maybe that’s why it didn’t feel like a huge heavy waffle. It was really good and the chocolate sauce is great. Lovely to be able to have a waffle!

Vegan waffles in Brussels are very hard to come by so this is an amazing spot. It’s tucked away in a small shopping mall but there’s signage at the entrance and you can see Veganwaf from outside looking in.

The waffles are made fresh to order and taste delicious and fluffy. You can then choose your toppings of sauces, creams and fruits. I had salty caramel and banana and my omnivore partner had just chocolate. They were both delicious and I would have gone back time and time again if we were staying in Brussels for longer.

Incredible! After year again and again amazing food experience. I went to here twice in one day. 😂 If I could, I would have the waffles every single day. The staff is super nice, portion really big, full of taste, their chocolate is absolutly amazing for waffles! You can't miss this spot if u're in Brussels, trust me!

I chose chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It absolutely hit the spot. It was a little difficult to eat standing up with a hot chocolate in your other hand, but I managed. You just should have seen my face afterwards though!

So yes, compared to animal slaughter waffles it is expensive. 2-3€ extra for some fruit toppings is insane. The price scared my omni dad away and he got a waffle next door which really upset me, so maybe that could be a motivation to make the prices more reasonable.

I was so excited to finally try real Belgian waffles, and I couldn’t believe there was actually a place selling only vegan waffles!
Read moreI have to admit, the shop is a bit hidden inside a sort of shopping center that felt a little sketchy at first. But one big advantage of that was there were no long lines like at all the other “traditional” waffle places all over the city.
The staff member was super friendly. Although there was a big selection of toppings and sauces, I decided to go for a plain waffle without anything extra. I’m not a huge fan of super sweet things, and I’d heard Belgian waffles are already quite sweet on their own, so I wanted to taste just the waffle itself.
It was really cool to watch him making it fresh. The waffle was honestly delicious, but even though it wasn’t very big, I started feeling a bit sick halfway through. That definitely wasn’t the waffle’s fault - the dough and texture were great - it’s just that these waffles are simply too sweet for my taste.
I ended up finishing the rest later in the day and I’m glad I tried it, but my conclusion is: Belgian waffles just aren’t for me. I still prefer my own homemade waffles!
Still, for anyone who does love sweet treats, Veganwaf is a fantastic spot to try vegan versions of this classic Belgian delight.
