Viva Chapata is a cozy nice vegan restaurant where I had vegan calamari for the first time. I was amazed! Very very similar to the real ones! The croquetas were really good as well. The people working there are so nice and helpful, they will answer all your questions. I recommend anyone visiting Madrid to try this place!

Los nachos sí que me gustaron especialmente.
Tendría que volver para probar más cosas, pero mi valoración de momento es que está bien, pero no alucinante. Para mí no ha destacado especialmente, un vegano más, pero cumple su función.

I got the viva tortilla chapata - basically a massive sandwich filled with potato! It was really good but very filling. Plus as is common in Spain I was brought 2 pinchos (bread with tapenade/tomato and with hummus). It was super cheap too.

Absolutely loved the Spanish omelette, squid rings, and everything we got really. The staff were extremely kind. The restaurant was only offering tapas when we were there, but surely this is a great place for a more substantial meal too.

We visited the place for lunch. The service was very fast and the food was very good. We had ciabatta with tortilla and a burger. We also had a carrot cake, which was delicious.

Went without a reservation & sadly could only sit outside. However, the staff was lovey and the food was good. For the main dishes, the portion sizes vary greatly in size, which left my friend rather hungry. Nice options, there is something for everyone on the menu.

Friendly service and really good food. We actually thought the kitchen was closed, so we stood outside trying to find a new plan. The server came out and cleared everything up for us. Whew! The had space for all seven of us. The food was well prepared, and they had something for all of our diverse tastes - while still feeling authentic. The coffee and rum drink and the dark Alhambra were a nice surprise. And the food was super tasty

We arrived at this place by chance, but we enjoyed the visit very much. They have interesting drinks (local vermuth, nice beers that support animal sanctuaries) and lovely food - we went for the tacos and the tortilla and were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and we loved the decor. A very nice place to stop for a quick bite or a drink.

Read moreEsta vez decidimos probar una de las hamburguesas (burger del viva - 13,50€) y fue una decepción enorme... Ingredientes escasos, el tamaño de la "carne" muy pequeño y una ridícula pincelada de salsa veganesa, estaba muy seca. No me importa pagar un precio que no es nada barato si el producto es de buena calidad, en este caso la hamburguesa no valía ni la mitad.
La limonada (3,50€) bastante pequeña y sabía a limón aguado, ni dulce ni ácido.
Fue una gran decepción tras el buen recuerdo que tenía de mi primera visita.
