On the day before cooking, soak oats overnight by adding 1/3 cup of warm water to 1/3 cup of rolled oats.
Drain and rinse the oats.
In a saucepan, bring the water and milk to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and pour in the oats and chia seeds.
Cook and stir occasionally for about 5 minutes.
Turn off the stove. Cover and let it rest for 2 until 3 minutes.
Transfer it to a bowl, mug, or whatever you have on hand.
For this recipe I use apple, 99% dark chocolate, walnuts and pecans. But oatmeal is flexible so you could put any toppings you like in. Serve and enjoy!
