Fun, creative flavours - ALL vegan - Edit
I cannot say enough good things about this place. It would be worth a visit just to chat with the amazing owners/staff, but then there's the ice cream -- omg. First, the ingredients -- they make their own ice creams from *real* food ingredients, e.g. the mint and basil flavours are made with mint and basil leaves, not from a bottle. They make the most creative flavours I've ever seen, and they're never disappointing, AND they keep changing them up with the seasons. My favourites continue to be the mugwort/ adzuki bean and the black sesame ones, but they're all so, so, sooooo good! I've also tried the ice cream cakes and their (enormous!) ice cream cookies. I wish I could live here!

Regarding the location, which is somewhat on the outskirts of the city, it is a small cafe with little seating space. The owners, however, are very friendly and passionate about gelato.

We came here on a quiet time, so we had a nice conversation with the owner who kindly explained the offerings of the store. On this occasion, we had the sampler plate with 3 flavors (black sesame, lavender blueberry, and cream cheese). They were all delicious. If I have to describe the texture, it is somewhere between sorbet and gelato. We also had the hot choco which was oh-so-delicious because it was done in Italian style (really thick hot choco). The owner also kindly accommodated my request to add cinnamon to my hot choco.
Read moreIf you are coming to this store, get off at Gireum Station (Line 4) and take exit 8. Go straight until you see a (덕일베이커리) bakery. Turn right to the street next to it. Go up the street for 2 blocks and turn left, it will be on your left. Alternatively, you can take the second right after emerging from exit 8, then turn left, and walk until you spot the store on the left. If you are having lunch in this area, I would recommend going to Yummy Thai, and then have your dessert here(like we did). It is about 30 minutes walk away from each other.

Amazing vegan ice cream! - Edit
I just went here for my first time and had the best experience! I got an ice cream flight with 3 flavors- mugwort, vanilla sticky rice, and caramel. The ice cream was amazing and I love that they have some unique Korean flavors. Also, the owner is incredible! You can tell she is really passionate about what she does. She explained every flavor to us, let us sample as much as we wanted, and let us try some new things that she is working on. Highly recommend this place!

Real Vegan Ice Cream in Seoul - Edit
Really a lovely place. A bit far from the main track, but easy to access with line 4 stopping at Gireum station or take the 109 bus there. Achemi has really tasty flavours and the owner is always creating new ones getting inspiration from other ice cream makers and patrons. She has been in the ice cream business for over 10 years and decided Korea needs vegan ice cream, which is great! I highly recommend this place and try all the flavours. You'll love them!
