Great food but unclear on veganism/vegetarianism - Edit
We've been here twice now, both times explaining to the waiter that we are vegan (the menu only specifies whether a dish is vegetarian). The first time, one of us had the tom kha hed soup. We ordered that again this time, and tom yum hed, but the waitress came back, having checked, saying they can't make the soups vegan. Obviously this was a bit upsetting, knowing we had eaten it just a couple of weeks prior, when were told it was vegan.
Read moreI'm not sure what would make it not vegan, considering it was labelled vegetarian. It's made me wonder if the soups that are labelled with a 'V' are actually not even vegetarian (using fish sauce perhaps, as the waitress the first time initially told us that it contained that, before we said, 'oh, no, we want the tom kha HED, which says it's the vegetarian version of the tom kha, so won't contain fish'). Both waiting staff we had seemed quite confused.
The food is really very lovely here, so it saddens me to say this, but I don't think we will be coming back, unless some changes are made to the menu labelling. I would definitely advise asking for an allergen menu if you find yourself going here.

Great Food, Friendly Service - Edit
Really enjoyed our meal here. All the dishes were really good, but the star of the show was the panang. I’ve tried a few elsewhere since returning from Thailand and none of them have ever got the spot like this one. Best I’ve had by far!
