What a delight to have found this very original place just 29 minutes away from my place. The neapolitan pizzas are made of a lot of varied ingredients. For example, the Avo & Nachos pizza had: ground meat, sundried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, olives, potatoes, vegan gouda cheese, avocado, nachos, vegan feta cheese, soy yogurt, coriander and tamarind sauce. Best vegan pizza so far! - Edit
I love Italian pizzas, but these are next level! In this tiny but characteristic restaurant the food is made with so much love that you can really tell. The vegan menu is huge so plenty of options to choose full of interesting flavor combinations. Be aware that you do have to reserve a spot on busy nights!

Awesome pizza - Edit
We come here regularly, because Bancale 61 offers - by far - the best pizzas in town. A superb crust (with or without chili oil), combined with creative and delicious toppings. Definitively recommended for vegans (and non-vegans)!

We visited Bancale 61 based on the positive reviews it received. The restaurant is located in a residential area just outside of the city center. The vegan menu offers many options to choose from which is great since this is often not the case. The combinations are interesting but a bit too creative to our taste. We knew this up front (a pizza with peanut sauce and coconut cream or one with avocado and nacho’s wasn’t really what we were craving) but decided to give the restaurant a try anyway and go for more traditional-like options. We sat down at a table outside (restaurant is located next to a road so good to keep in mind) and ended up picking the Vonio and the Ragu. Staff is very friendly and pizzas arrived quickly. The pizza crust was nice but with regard to the taste of the entire pizza we unfortunately weren’t that impressed.

Pretty fire pizza some are a bit funky, for sure try to get that spicy sauce and dip your pizza in it. Pretty cool the oven and that the workers speak Italian. Only the seating is a little bit akward but also adds to it. And because of the stone oven the wait is a bit long.

Polite service, cosy atmosphere and so many cool topping combinations to choose from. Finally a place with some creative, flavourful vegan pizzas! What more can I say? Definitely worth a visit!

Read moreFirst off, this is some of the best, most inventive pizza I've ever had. There is a decent size vegan menu, and while the toppings may look like a lot, don't let it fool you! I have the Pizza Ragu, and holy wow, so delicious. My non-vegan boyfriend liked it a ton as well.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller size, but has indoor and outdoor seating, so unless it's a busy day, you shouldn't have any issues finding somewhere to sit. It's incredibly charming. You can see your food being made in the forno, and the server and chef couldn't have been nicer! The service was also nice and quick; a group of seven was just before us and didn't affect our wait time for our food much at all!

Bancale 61 is a lovely little pizzeria where you can see your pizza being baked in the wood oven. They have a lot of choice in vegan pizzas and I had the al Bosco which was delicious! The service was also very quick and the atmosphere was cosy and international: people were speaking French, English and Italian around me. I will definitely be back next time in Maastricht!

True authentic Italian pizza! Those are hard to find vegan, they had a stone oven and you could see the kitchen/chef working. A little small but that was pretty nice. Food was amazing, lots of options!

So many options! An entire menu of vegan pizzas plus a starter (tagliere vegan). The focaccia rossa was really amazing, the cecilia pizza was ok, maybe too many flavors that did not go quite well together. Bosco pizza was good. Absolutely recommend it to try several different vegan pizza

Speciaal veganistisch menu. Over de ingrediënten is duidelijk nagedacht. Niet even de kaas vervangen maar een heel nieuw gerecht verzonnen. Ik at de vegan Melania en die kan ik van harte aanbevelen. Mijn vader at een margarita en die was ook naar wens. Zag er precies zo uit als de margarita die ik ooit at in Napels.

Although I appreciate creativity I would have loved to also see some classic pizzas on the vegan menu. These were all very special pizzas with special ingredients.

It is not the greatest place to sit and eat although staff was friendly.

The staff are Italian. Everybody is very friendly. They have a separate menu for vegan pizzas. It's not the same as on the website. The vegan pizzas are not your typical fare, they're super creazive with ingredients that don't seem to go together but actually do. The vegan mozzarella is actually homemade by them. I had the "piso" pizza for 15€ and i really liked it. The pizza bread was just perfect!

Een hele lijst met alleen maar vegan pizza's!!!! Normaal maar 1 of 2 opties maar nu..... Iedere pizza op het menu leek me heerlijk dus kiezen werd erg moeilijk! Gekozen voor de pizza piso. De pizza zelf was al een plaatje om te zien (met linzen, nootjes, vegan mozarella enz), maar ook werkelijk een genot om te eten. Ik word vaste klant om de andere pizza's ook uit te proberen!!!

Amazing and cute pizza place in an out of town area in Maastricht. They have a total of 18 vegan pizzas and really great creationw, they make their own vegan mozzarella. It was truly amazing and all pizzas are made in a real stone oven, real italian tradition. Definitely worth more than one visit. I recommend reserving though. We were there on a Saturday night, it was packed, but we had our pizza in 30 minutes.

Tried the pizza with truffels which was super good! Also tried the one with hummus which was good too, but not as amazing as the one with truffels. I will definitely come back to try the other vegan pizzas of the menu!

We went to this restaurant and had some of the most delicious pizzas we’ve ever had. They make their own vegan ‘mozzarella’ which was nice, but especially the crust is what made it so great.
