Maybe better for vegetarians than vegans but fantastic IMO - Edit
I've only sampled some of the vegetarian options, not the vegan sandwiches (though there are a good range of each), but I've fabulous experiences here. Friendly and accommodating staff, and despite the fact that I speak essentially zero Thai (I mean, I can say "thank you"), all my orders have been correct, including changes, and a soy coffee. Definitely recommended (and tbh I think worth a shot if you're vegan too—those options look excellent too).

Lots of vegan options - Edit
I was happy to see this place was open early - it's great for breakfast. I had the "onion soup" grilled cheese and it was flavorful and delicious.

Dog friendly - Edit
Dog friendly venue but disappointing. I ordered a pestocado sandwich which sounded yummy on the menu as it said it also had olives. It was very slow to come and turned out to be mostly lettuce and cucumber with the tiniest smear of pesto and no olives.

Nice place to sit for an hour or two - Edit
The menu includes meat, but has many clearly-marked vegan options.
Read moreThe food is mostly toasts/sandwiches/smoothies, so it’s not a place to come for a big meal. It’s primarily a coffee shop, so instead is a great place to meet people or to come and sit with a book.
It’s not especially cheap or healthy. A sandwich is going to be in the region of 250 baht, but the food is very good.
I didn’t look, but I believe that it has an upstairs area that is better for people who want to sit on their laptops.

Delicious coffee and grilled cheese - Edit
The coffee was very good, and the grilled cheese sandwiches were so good, flavorful and oozing cheese. They clearly label the vegan options, and understand what you mean by “vegan with real cheese”. We ordered all three vegan options, subbing with cheese. We also bought an amazing loaf of fresh rye bread that they sliced on the spot. They cater to foreigners, and the prices do reflect this; but overall, was a really nice spot to go.

Delicious vegan Sourdough sandwiches!! - Edit
Bartels really know how to make great sourdough bread, so if you're looking for a freshly baked loaf then this is the place to go!
Read moreI've been in several times to buy bread, but it was only recently that I noticed that they have a good selection of vegan sandwiches as well!
Really nice interior, with indoor and outdoor seating, although you will be sat on the busy Sukhumvit if you decide to go outside.
All the vegan options are clearly marked on the menu and there is a very good selection. They also have smoothie bowls as well, juices and coffee.
Food was really well presented and it all tasted as good as it looked!
Obviously the app won't allow me to give 5 stars which is a shame because it's definitely worth a 5 in my opinion.
It's not cheap but you pay for quality. Expect to pay 250 baht for a loaf but they are good size.
Definitely recommend!
