These organic shops here in Croatia are the salvation for conscious people. Here you can shop great for vegans and you will be greeted very friendly and given good advice.

We bought lots of grab and go stuff to go to the beach, so we didn't starve from hunger😄the pastry with vegetables and tofu inside is the best one! The pastry with seitan also very good, but better eat with mayo and/or ketchup and/or lemon 🍋 drops. The kikiriki (peanut) cookie is to die for!!!

There were at least 5 vegan sandwich options. I got a seitan sandwich for around €4 which was good. The staff were friendly and gave good beach recommendations!

I grabbed a few sandwiches, ice cream and cakes from Bio while I was in Rijeka. They’re good - not the greatest - but certainly worth trying when in Rijeka (especially given the lack of vegan options in the area). Prices are a bit high compared to non-vegan restaurants in the area, but not drastically higher.

Vegan Croatian pastries - Edit
Many of the organic foods are important from nearby countries but in one of the fridges, here is a section of vegan Croatian pastries, both savory and sweet. These alone make the visit worth it. Otherwise, the prices are probably really not affordable for the average Croatian but that's probably due to the import.

Great little place for something quick to eat - Edit
I wanted to go to the only vegan restaurant in the city but it was closed that day so I landed in this shop and I have to admit it is pretty great. They have a lot of vegan snacks like sandwiches, wraps and cakes. Quite a big selection! So if you want to grab something for lunch or just a snack there will be plenty of options for you there including a traditional Croatian cake Madarica.
