Good coffee; great Danishes - Edit
Now that Sweet Release is gone, Black Lion is the place to go near the Golden Mile when it comes to vegan cake. The danishes are lovely, especially the rhubarb one!

Lots of options. I got the vegan Rhubarb Danish which was good but the pastry part was heavy and dense.
Read more$1.00 extra for non-dairy milk alternatives in hot drinks, which I highly disagree with. Star deducted.

The vegan B.L.A.T. was amazing and very tasty. there is a wide variety of vegan sandwiches and patisserie. staff was very lovely and the place has a nice atmosphere. will come here again!

Made the trek to go visit - checked the bakery’s social media and they said they’d be open and they weren’t - went back later in the day still not open

A pretty amazing place with quite a mesmerising array of vegan savoury and sweet options. We shared a tomato, mozzarella & pesto toastie and a Biscoff Danish which were both superb. This place came highly recommended to us by staff at Nolitas vegan Italian restaurant just a short walk away on Cuba street
