Leith Woks and Kochchi

Visited Leith Woks 12 June. I had the tofu and black bean main with boiled rice from Leith Woks, it was pretty tasty and the tofu was cooked perfectly. There are not so many vegan choices overall in B&W but this is one of the good ones. (Others include East Pizza, Stack and Still pancakes, Kochchi, Cairngorm coffee, Joelato)
Photos of food I had from Kochchi on 2 previous visits which is really good and lots of choice there.

Lots of choice!

Got a pizza with candied almonds🍕as well as probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had! I wish I could remember the name of the pancake place! They also sold their own mixes🥞so yum, had a lovely time😋

Good vegan options

There were several places with vegan options. I went for Kochchi, a Sri Lankan street food stall, and it was delicious.

Good concept and various options for vegans

Most stalls had at least one or several options for vegans. I went wednesday late afternoon and it was fairly quiet but a nice atmosphere. The stall ‘Salt and Chilli’ had tofu dishes that were lovely !

Over complicated

Bit of an over engineered set up but vegan options to choose from at the various stalls

Radge chaat

One vegan place and a food hall full of meat and fish with limited vegan options. The above is good and worth a visit, other than that it’s just not worth it. A shopping mall.
Check out my Raadge review for good vegan options.

Upscale feeling with lots of variety

I came here with a group, we all ordered from a different business but got to eat together in a trendy restaurant setting. It's a great concept! I got a savoury pancake stack from Stack & Still, it was so flavoursome and very unique from anything else I've tried in restaurants. Most stalls had a vegan option, I also saw a vegan Margherita pizza and stir fry bowl. It's a bit pricy (particularly drinks), as expected of eating out in Edinburgh. Also, if you're in a group, your food will be ready at different times if you order from different stalls.

Pros: Lots of variety, Focus on local food, Vibrant, luxurious setting

Cons: Meals arrive at different times within one group, Fairly expensive
