Skip the Dan Dan Noodles - Edit
Food was fast and reasonably priced. The Dan Dan Noodles were pretty bland, but the Spicy Dumplings and Marinated Noodles In Yuxiang Sauce had a decent amount of heat. That being said, the flavour was pretty one-dimensional, with the hot sauce doing all of the heavy lifting.

So much flavour! 😍 - Edit
Behind an unassuming facade hides a world of flavour. As others have said, things can get really spicy (I got a 🌶️🌶️ dish, and that was spicy enough for me - and dishes go up to 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) but, more importantly, the dish is just packed with flavour! The lemonade too, simply a delight to even just sip on.
Read morePros: Full of flavour!, Very reasonably priced, Staff can give you a good recommendation
Cons: Decoration is minimal and it can be a bit loud

Bold, and unabashedly specific cuisine - Edit
CÀI doesn't offer a broad (read: eurocentric) take on asian, or even Chinese, food. Rather it serves specifically sichuanese (albeit veganized) dishes. Spice levels differ, but the flavors are always complex and delicious. They have three gluten free options – two mains and one side – all of which are great. I highly recommend you eat here.

Good prices - Edit
I loved the toppings to noodle/rice ratio. A lot of toppings! The one side dish had a lot of sichuan even though it was not written on the menu

In a city where everyone tries so hard to be the most authentic… - Edit
… it’s often the rather inconspicuous places that actually are. CÀI Kitchen is no exception to this rule. A clear, small menu, veganized traditional Szechuan cuisine, and absolutely fair prices make this place a real insider’s tip. I had the Dan Dan noodles and it was gorgeous, spicy but not too much and super tasty. Will definitely come here again. Very nice staff, too!

Surprisingly good - Edit
We ended up here because the place where we originally planned to go to was too full, so we had no expectations, but I am so glad it went this way! We had marinated noodles and dumplings and everything tasted great, the soy meat in particular was delicious! The only downside is that the tables are very brightly lit and that isn’t so cozy for a dinner, it’s more of a quick lunch spot.

We loved this lunch! We tried the Dan Dan noodles, potato dumplings, and a noodle soup. The dishes were creative and flavorful and combined nice varying textures. It was seriously good, I would definitely go again. Chill atmosphere, you order at the counter and pick up your food, friendly staff.

Seriously amazing - Edit
Definitely THE place to have Szechuan food in Berlin! Appetizers and dihes were absolutely amazing. Different levels of spiciness available, although even the highest wasn't, IMO, not that spicy😄Cold noodles were also available, the potatoe dumplings were very convincing, everything super tasty, and made with love. Beware they do not sell alcohol at this location, but you can grab a beer at the nearest späti and bring it back to your table :)

Nice - Edit
Had a pretty good experience, ate some dan dan noodles and dumplings that were pretty good, the staff was friendly too! Would like some more sauce to the noodles tho, and it was more expensive here than other places that sells good dan dan too.

We had Dan Dan Noodles and dumplings. It is convenient that the degree of spiciness is displayed on the menu via small chillies. The only downside: The portions are quite small for the price.

Tasty and spicy - Edit
Tried this for takeaway during work as my colleagues go here at least once a week for lunch - and was pretty impressed.
Read moreThe place is 100 % vegan and have mostly noodle dishes but also polenta and dumplings. I took the Dan Dan Noodle dish as this is my coworkers favourite and I must say it was very tasty with nice sauce and crispy pieces of corn.
All dishes except one are spicy so if you like spicy food try this restaurant out! They also have very nice outdoor seating and cool indoor interior!
