GF smoked maple - Edit
We stumbled across this donut shop accidentally and were impressed that they had GF vegan donuts. We tried the smoked maple which was good. Denser than the GF donuts we’ve had before but not in a bad way. The flavour was subtle and not really smoky. We would definitely stop again if we are in the area

I was in a rush to find parking on Main Street and luckily found a spot in the underground lot of Cartems Donuts. On my way back from my appointment, I decided to walk through the donut shop and was pleasantly surprised by their wide array of vegan and gluten-free donuts.
Read moreI just had to try them. I opted for a baked vegan and gluten-free Earl Grey donut, and it was absolutely delicious. The shop is adorned with original photography of colorful donuts, adding a cute and whimsical touch that made me want to buy some of the artwork for myself.
Most recently I got a coupon on Plant Curious, so I'll definitely be going back soon! The staff were also incredibly friendly and fun to talk to, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're in the area and have a craving for vegan and gluten-free treats, Cartems is a must-visit!

Vegan donut win - Edit
It’s nice to not have to wake up at the crack of dawn for vegan donuts. In this case both the opening time and the number of choices work to your advantage. We couldn’t decide so just asked for a mixed dozen. None of them disappointed. The glazed style had lots of flaky layers and the cake style was super moist and dense. Excellent find- they even had my elusive white ring!!

I love this place ! Pretty much everything is vegan (also there is no meat here so idk why it isn’t considered a fully veg establishment). Not everything is always labeled but ask the baristas - pretty much everything is vegan! Today we tried two of the donuts of the month (Black Forest and pistachio with raspberry jelly!) plus a lemon poppyseed baked donut. I am always a huge fan of the citrus yeast donut and the chocolate yeast donut too!

The earl grey donuts are light and perfect. The other flavours I’ve had were also pretty good. Donuts that aren’t overly sweet or heavy. Probably the best donuts I’ve ever had!

You can sit inside as well (they have lots of spots), but it’s more „diner-style“. The donut was quite sweet and soggy, but I suppose that’s what most people love about it - I am just not used to very sweet stuff

Read moreBut forreal it was so good. They have a bunch of different options, we also got the Earl Grey donut which was tasty. (It was a cake donut though- I prefer yeast donuts, which the smoked maple was!)
They only serve almond milk for nondairy which was a slight bummer, since almond milk lattes don’t taste well to me. Otherwise, come get your delicious donut fix here!

I highly suggest trying one of their monthly specials, but as for their regular stock, the apple fritters and earl grey doughnuts are my favourite. I don't think you can make a bad choice here, though! Their strawberry mint tea is also tasty and compliments their doughnuts well :)

They have vanilla, chocolate, apple fritter, and seasonal flavours of vegan donuts. Proper puffy deep fried type vegan donuts, not cake donuts. They are so good. They taste how I remember regular donuts tasting. They have almond milk but no soy milk to go with you tea or coffee. My favourite is the vanilla icing donut. They also have the cake type gluten free donuts, some of which are vegan, but I don't really like those ones.
