Vegan

No vegan option

I booked a day in advance stating I am vegan. Booking acknowledged and confirmed.
Arrived at the restaurant - I said I am vegan - response ‘no problem’ and given lengthy explanation about the small plates on offer and how many to choose/to share or not. There was fish, chicken, meat, three or four vegetarian dishes. I checked vegetarian not vegan - response yes but (checking with the cook) we can véganise anything on the menu. Spent some time looking and we were unable to see how any of it could be ‘veganised’ - eg there was an egg in sauce - so take out the egg?
Came to the conclusion that at best I could have rice (not sure what else was in the rice) with tomato sauce. Not what I go out to a restaurant for.
So disappointed.
We left and eventually (managed to get my 10000 steps in making the search!) had a very nice cheeseless pizza at La Verrière.

Pros: Nil, None, Nada

Cons: No vegan option, Requirement for vegan was notified in advance , No menu item would be able to be véganised

I unfortunately had the same experience too...my husband wanted to go out to eat, we went here but I just ate his lettuce and french fries.....
