The best vegan Mexican restaurant we have been to! We were lucky enough to try the Christmas taco-fantastic! I wish we had one in our town!

Tasty vegan junk food - Edit
I'm a total snob about the "Mexican" food that's served in the UK in general. Not only is it usually totally inauthentic, but it's usually just gross. I really liked Club Mexicana. I'd call it more "tex-mex inspired" than Mexican but nevermind, it's delicious, and it's vegan.. ! Also, cheerful and friendly.

Best vegan Mexican food - Edit
Really tasty tacos and burritos. The best vegan ribs and fish tacos you’ll ever eat! I would highly recommend this place for the food, it’s seriously good but make sure you book, it was really busy when we went but the service was still brilliant and we were looked after and didn’t have to wait long for our food

Good vibe, great nachos! - Edit
We three vegan amigas loved Club Mexicana. It has a fresh, fun atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard. The serving staff were friendly and efficient too.
Read moreBut the food was the real highlight of the evening. The loaded nachos were our favourite, all the toppings and the vegan cheese and guac were delicious.
We enjoyed the tacos too, the tofish one being our favourite for tasting a bit different but still very yummy. The burritos were good too but we would definitely return to eat nachos and tofish tacos all night long.
Pros: Really good nachos and tacos, Fresh, fun atmosphere, Lovely staff

Tasty taco spot - Edit
Fun spot to grab a vegan taco. Not a huge menu and you may end up ordering more tacos to fill you up, so may prefer to opt for the burrito.

Good but not great - Edit
As an American living in London, I've been frequently disappointed by Tex Mex cuisine and I find that I make it better at home. Over all the vegan side of this is amazing, the Tex Mex is nice but not spicy at all and very expensive for what it was.
Read moreI was disappointed by the out door seating, it's uncomfortable picnic tables with benches with no back. The staff were kind enough to provide me with a chair with a back. They also don't have knives and you have to ask for them and the food is put on top of paper. I ended up eating some paper as I tried to eat my burrito with a knife and fork.
We ordered regular nachos, a cheeseburger burrito and one mushroom taco with a side of guac and beans. The beans were very good, home made etc but teeny tiney and I had to get another order and ended up paying £8 for two very small portions of beans. The guac was very well done, but I wasn't keen on the chips which I felt were cheap and out of a bag. The vegan cheese was very good.
The burrito was very dry, my least favorite thing and very stodgy. We ordered some more salsa and discovered they had salsa verde but it was not on the menu as a side, which is a shame, it should be because it was homemade and of very good quality. If you want extra salsa verde you have to ask for it. Overall, I was very disappointed by the lack of spice on offer. None of the salsa's had any kick. In fact they had only one bottle of hot sauce on the table and it to was not hot and was very vinagery.
The taco was nice but tiny and vinagery, but that might be my fault as it came with some lime and I put the whole thing on this very tiny taco. I felt it was a bit small for £4.
Finally I got a frozen margarita. It was nearly £9 and it felt like it came from a slushie machine premade and not like it was mixed and made there. For that price I'd expect a more personal mixed approach.
Over all it had some nice moments and great vegan cheese, but it was not spicy at all and very pricey for a canteen rather than gourmet experience.
Pros: good service, good salsa verde, good vegan cheesy and dairy stuff
Cons: uncomfotable seating, cocktail and food was expensive for what it was, not spicy at all and no decent hot sauces

Flavour and creativity - Edit
I recommend the nachos, the cheese sauce is great.
Read moreI enjoy the tacos so much, especially the rib one. The only constructive feedback is that I feel the mayonnaise/sauce levels are creeping up and sometimes it’s too much sauce. Nicer just to have a little bit of sauce. But genuinely delicious and highly recommended!

Since I came across the brand back in 2017, I always said that their food it's among the best in London.

Club Mexicana 🌮 - Edit
I'd be happy if I could just shove all these vegan tacos in my mouth all day...but that's not the reality and I sadly don't have a millions stomachs.
Read moreLast time I went to Club Mexicana I ordered three tacos to go and I ate them in the nearby park because the tables were booked up (make a booking!!!). I can't remember what the names of the tacos where, but they were delicious...see the photos I posted! The nachos are also pretty delish!

Delicious and affordable in central London - Edit
I hadn’t actually heard of this place before stumbling upon it on Happy Cow. Decided to go and check it out and so glad I did! The food was both affordable and delicious - not too spicy too which I find can be a struggle for me with Mexican food.
Read moreI had the beef style tacos and the chicken burrito. All made fresh with fresh veggies (tomato, onion etc).
I also liked how the kitchen was just the other side of the bar so you can see the food being made in front of you.

Pros: Fully vegan, Central London location, Affordable
