AMAZING!!!!!

One of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants I have ever eaten at in Europe! I have found it a bit difficult finding good vegan restaurants out here. But after reading the reviews and checking this place it is a must try! I rest recommend this place it will not disappoint and the portions are big if your order a main meal!

Pros: Options available for not only vegetarians and veg

Beautiful restaurant with loads of options

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. Several vegan options and everything looks and taste delicious. The location is good, in a nice part of the city centre and the kind of mansion looking building has several floors. You have the impression of eating in a living room. Very cosy. Highly recommandable

Pros: Cozy living room ambiance, very spacious, Good food, Nice staff

Cons: A bit pricey compared to others @ Dublin

Lovely food

Amazingly tasty food, lots of vegan options. Sadly we got there just before closing hour, otherwise I'd have liked to sample their menu more thoroughly. A bit expensive.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Many vegan options

Cons: Expensive

So nice, we dined there twice!

We were in Dublin last month for a short visit, and had breakfast at Cornucopia when we first got into town. I had the mixed plate of two homemade vegetarian sausages, roasted chili mushrooms, breakfast beans & roasted red onion with fresh herbs and I had the spelt bread with it. The sausages were amazing. The whole meal was incredible and memorable. I really recommend the spelt bread- I have never had anything like it in the States.
We returned the following day for lunch. The menu changes daily and although not everything is vegan, the staff was friendly and helpful in identifying the vegan items. My husband and I both had a main with two sides. I chose a smoked tofu and mushroom pie with dilled potato topping. Words fail me; the whole thing was absolutely creamy, flavorful and just plain delicious. My husband had a ratatouille which was also great. We had a variety of yummy sides and I also had a vegan cheese scone. Fantastic.
The place gets very crowded, but we found the clientele to be friendly and willing to share tables with other customers. I would dine at Cornucopia again in a heartbeat if I could!

Pros: Amazing fresh food, Many choices

Cons: Gets pretty crowded

loved it!

I had a meal at night, beans and a piece of cake. Lots of options and busy but we found a seat. The serving sizes were reasonable and the prices were great.
We went back the next day and ate breakfast there. We were pressed for time as we were catching a plane, but it was delivered quickly, out breakfast included toast and coffee. I had the hot breakfast with mushrooms and sausages. The sausages were the best I'd tasted. My partner had the porridge and whilst it could have been sweeter, he enjoyed it.
Friendly service even whilst there was a queue.

Pros: price, seating, options

I always go when I'm in Dublin

I appreciate Cornucopia for being a vegetarian restaurant in a place that still isn't very veg friendly. I'm always blown away by how packed it is. You sometimes have to hover till you see someone leaving and then snag their seat. Reservations would be smart if you had a large group. There menu is mostly vegan and I like everything that I've had except for their "Mexican" dishes. I'm a latina from California, so I'm picky with my Mexican food. Other than that it's great and in a great location. My husband is from Ireland and when I first started traveling home with him I got a lot of "what's vegan? You can eat chicken, right?" So Cornucopia saved me many times when I left dinner hungry because I could only eat fries.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great location , Nice staff

Cons: Sometimes hard to get a table

Great visit, great food, Salad, didn't care for th

Twas an quite a visit today. I have been to Cornucopia several times, today I decided to do a review as I've never done so. hahaah.

Today I had Soup, Salad and Dessert. The Soup and Dessert I wholeheartedly enjoyed. the Salad not so much. Now as regards the staff, they were very accommodating. I've never had an issue with Staff or their foods hence why I keep going back to em. hahaha. The only thing I would say is to offer MORE vegan alternatives ie HOT foods. I wanted the Baked cheese thing, However as it wasn't Vegan, I had to make do with Salad, with as you can gather, did not enjoy.

The Soup was a mushroom creamy consistency. Green in color as per the pic. It was absolutly heaven. Totally enjoyed it.

My next was the Salad, I was hoping for a hot dish, however it wasn't to be, as the stuff I wanted was Cow cheese instead my baby Violife Cheese which is Vegan. So I stuck with the Salad, of which I didn't enjoy it one bit. Oh their was taste no doubt, but I just didn't care for it.

So I moved onto the Dessert, as I said to my colleague, I like to "end on a sweet note" as per what my mother would say. hahha. I had a lovely Tart of which was a lovely soft consistency texture, and a crumbly base. It was all heaven. hehehe.

Pros: Staff, Food

Cons: Lack of Vegan HOT Food, Salad

Very good restaurant in the centre of Dublin

We enjoyed very good food in this old-looking vegetarian restaurant. The menu with soup, various vegetables, vegetarian paté and fresh smothie was enough for two. We had also matcha tea. It was not only food we liked, but also the interior. Recommadation - visit toilets upstaris which are very nice. We were in Dublin for two days and we visited the restaurant twice in the evening and were satisfied.

Pros: Interior, Meal deal in the evening, Toilets

Cons: Unwilling waitress

Friendly and Delicious

Cornucopia is the gold standard for veggie eating in Dublin! It feels authentically friendly and honest. Prices are reasonable and the food is so good. I've taken non veggie friends here and they've loved it!

Pros: Central location, Nice staff

Cons: A tad pricey

Breakfast home run!

This was our favorite breakfast spot of our trip. There were several vegan options (though surprisingly the hash browns aren't vegan). The tofu scramble was probably the best I've ever had at any restaurant. We're pretty picky since we're into cooking (and make damn fine scramble ourselves), so when we're impressed they've met a pretty high bar! ;-p

Pros: Excellent Food, Large Portions, Adorable cafe

Dissapointing

Maybe it was not what we expect because they had described differently to us and that was not what we were looking for in our trip around Ireland, where we cared about was the price, quantity and variety in dishes. Upon arrival we impressed with the price, very expensive, and the few vegan options on the main courses, two of five. To this we must add that it was very little food for the price of the dish.
The positive note is the vegan desserts offered and the friendly staff.

Pros: Friendly staff, Vegan desserts

Cons: Expensive, Few vegan options

great place

Cornucopia is all vegetarian and around 80% vegan. They have a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and mains. They usually do a few specials everyday with a raw special In the mix too. Fresh, wholesome and tasty food. It is not at all over priced for the amount you get and the quality. Nice cafe seating that has an almost Parisian feel. Friday evening live harpist and some evenings there's talks/cookery demo's and other live entertainment. They have good desserts too! :)

Pros: great food , central location , wide variety

Cons: none

Wonderful Vegan Food

The food here is wonderful! It is so great to find a place where you can eat as a vegan with ease. The soups and salad options are great, still haven't tried one of their larger main courses. They also offer a number of vegan desserts like cake, tarts, and "cheese" cake. It was fun for me to try some of these because in most restaurants the desserts are a no go when wanting to avoid dairy and eggs.

Pros: ecellent food, nice vibe, lots of options

Great veggie restaurant

I could choose from 4 main dished (quiche, pumpkin ragout, canelloni etc). I've chosen the pumpkin ragout and got rice with it. I also could choose 2 salades with it, I took peas-salade and cucumber salad. It tasted so good! It is self-service. Payed only €28 for 2 mains and 2 drinks.

Pros: Very good food, Very good price, Extra's (rice and salad)

Cons: Self-service (not really a con for me)

Delicious fresh vegan breakfast

Had a wonderful meal on my first morning in Dublin at Cornucopia! The veggie fry up was fresh and the vegan sausages were just prefect. I loved the crust and sesame seeds and that they didn't taste like meat! The beans were also delicious and fresh but the plate had too much onion for my taste. I was unable to finish my meal as it was so large and my partner was delighted to complete the task! We went back the following day for scones which were sublime! Definitely recommend this place when visiting Dublin!

Pros: Big meals, Fresh , Great selection

French-style restaurant

Cornucopia is the place I ate three days ago.
A spacious French-style casual restaurant; not knowing I was in Ireland, just being at Cornucopia, I would guess being in France.
Quite a busy place providing fresh and delicious looking meals; I had a fabulous risotto. The dishes are filling and substantial, but a bit pricy. I would had enough money to eat there every day, but for once in a while it would be a good choice, hence my meal was really tasty, the ingredients fresh and the atmosphere great.
Although equipped with many tables and seats, it might be full at peak times. Happened so being there a day later; full and a long queue, hence I decided to go somewhere else for lunch.

Pros: tasty and fresh, classical French atmosphere, many great salads

Cons: not cheap, quite busy at lunch times

Always Delicious!

I'm not sure how I forgot to write a review for this place, but here goes. I first discovered Cornucopia in 2009 when I was visiting a friend living just outside of Dublin. Now each time I go back it's on the top of my list of places to go. Everything is really fresh and well-made with lots of vitamin-rich ingredients. It's hard for me to eat anywhere else when I'm downtown. I saw that some people complained about the price. Yes, it is expensive, but everything in Ireland is. I swear 100 euros flew out of my wallet with every change of the weather without even knowing what I spent it on. I always leave really full and satisfied for the rest of the afternoon. It does get really busy around lunch, but I didn't mind and ended up sitting at a table with some interesting people.

Pros: lots of nutritious choices, generous portions

Cons: can be a bit busy

Too busy, too cramped, to enjoy the deliciousness

Huge portions and reasonable prices - but that means a long queue and a sense of rush, so it's hard to relax and enjoy the food. It's also hard for new or very occasional visitors to work out what to choose, with each dish's complicated ingredients listed on a board, and little time to inspect them. That's particularly true for the salads, which are yummy but need a bit of thought to select. Not a place for a night out - unless you've had the foresight to book a table upstairs for a music event.

Pros: Delicious mixes of flavours, Huge portions, Reasonable prices

Cons: Crowded, busy, queues, Needs table service

Cornucopia - Dublin

Delightful venue; helpful and friendly staff; delicious food and quite a good vegan selection. We ate on the ground floor; there is what looks like a very pleasant first floor area which is almost the same size as the ground floor.

Great lunch spot for vegans

As Dublin unfortunately does not offer quite as big a range of vegan dining options as other capital cities I was very happy to find this place which was conveniently close to my hotel, and is in a very central location off of Grafton street. It is a nice casual dining spot with a daily changing lunch menu. Food is ordered at the walk up counter and it is clearly marked what is vegan, gluten free, vegetarian etc. which is very helpful. The day I went there for lunch there were about 5-6 regular menu options as well as additional about 6-7 options for salads. This is definitely a place where one can also take non-vegans for lunch.

Pros: Casual dining, Interesting menu, Caters to vegans

Cons: Could be a bit cheaper

good casual veg restaurant

Cornucopia is one of the few vegan friendly restaurants in Dublin. They serve approx. 5 entrees which change daily and usually at least 4 are vegan. As many others have mentioned the prices are a bit expensive but you do get a lot of food if you go for their main dish and 2 salads combo. I have never left this restaurant hungry. They usually have some type of casserole which consists of vegetables in a tasty sauce served over rice...this is my favorite of their dishes. The restaurant is casual so you get your food, pay for it, then find a table.

Pros: several vegan options
