Worth a trip

I was in Dublin for a few days and had made it my mission to eat at Cornucopia. I tried a delicious eggplant dish which came with two side salads (I had potato salad and coleslaw, wow!), a delightful fruit scone and vegan soft serve!

Everything was so good, I wish I lived nearby so I could eat there often.

Pros: Variety, Fresh food, Portions

Love this restaurant!

I love this restaurant! We ate here 4 times and loved the food every time! The desserts are divine too!
There are definitely times when it’s busier- around meal times and it can be harder to find a table. The staff was friendly overall.
My one “complaint” would be the lack of accessibility. My mom, who is a senior citizen, had trouble with the steep, narrow stairs. Those stairs are also hard to navigate with a tray full of food.

Pros: Delicious food , Desserts!

Cons: Lack of accessibility

Amazing!

Went here twice on my 2 day stay in Dublin. So it was really good! The only con really was vegan options weren’t clearly marked. You have to ask. The staff was really friendly. The potato cake was sooo good, that beet pesto was amazing. I recommend this place.

Good but chaotic!

We went in for breakfast. Food is ordered at the counter there are no signs to indicate this.

The food menu is decent and varied. I ordered the tofu scramble and my husband ordered the Half and Half (tofu and beans on either spelt or sourdough bread). Also ordered a couple of coffees with oat milk.

Food and drinks were great, if slow. We had to order coffees last and these took the longest. I'm not 100% convinced it was oat milk either!

Excellent

We went for dinner to Cornucopia after a long walk under the rain.
We had a main plate and a soup and our stomachs thanked us for those beautiful gifts.
If you're in Dublin, you have to try this restaurant, everything is well cooked and comforting.

Excellent food in Dublin

Went twice: had an amazing parsnip soup with sourdough bread for dinner, and a great mussaka salad for lunch, on the day after. The menu changes and there are different combinations/prices. It is not cheap but definitely worth it!

Dublin's Vegan-Vegetarian Staple

Wholesome hearty food with plenty of choice, tons of seating on 3 floors, and a nice atmosphere.

Though getting especially expensive nowadays. €6.50 for cake from a deli counter (as of 2023) is pushing it.

Pastries for vegan food without alliums

This is one of the top places that I wish to visit for my trip in Dublin. However, didn't have chance to try on the main dishes. As the staff mentioned that the main dishes contain onion and garlic which could not be removed.
As a vegan and for food without alliums, there are limited choices. Alternatively is to take pastries, which they have few choices of vegan pastries.

Pros: Vegan desserts

Cons: Most main dishes with onion and garlic, Not cheap

Lots of vegan choices

Stopped in here with an omnivore who got an eggplant dish that she
loved. I got a jackfruit curry that was good. What I really liked was the ability to choose 2 out of the 6 or so salads as sides.

Mixed foods

Tofu scramble, latte, affagato, and vegan meat pie was tried. Loved the vegan meat pie, wasn’t a fan of anything else. Place was cute though to hang out in between sight seeing

Rugelach

A little #snack for the road-trip. A little croissant-like #jewish/ #polish #pastry filled with #chocolate - if there's #vegan chocolate AND pastry, I'll find it!
This #sweettreat hit the spot. I liked everything about it...perhaps too small because it was gone very quickly! 😋🤭

Homely environment

Cafeteria style dining so it’s great for a quicker meal if needed but a wonderful atmosphere if you’re wanting a drink as well. They had a really nice soup and wrap lunch combo. We went a couple times on our trip and highly recommend stopping by since they do switch up their specials and have a breakfast menu as well.

Pros: Serves alcohol, Rotating menu

disappointed...

I was looking forward to this place, which made it to the top 10 in Dublin. Also impressive is a sign they have in there suggesting it's been vegetarian since 1998. I also liked the disposition, with small tables, and quaint seating. It's very centrally located.

However, I'm not returning there:
- the staff seemed very stressed out. In their defense: it was probably the peak lunch hour
- I found the mains at over 18€ expensive, even for Dublin, for a lunch menu. That said, there were cheaper options, including a soup+salad for 12€.
- I ended up ordering a sausage roll, which arrived only 20' later, and probably only because I asked if they had "forgotten me". The roll was cold by the time it got to my table, so probably they had!
- I also had a scone, which came with regular butter - i.e., with dairy butter! I was very surprised, as someone in the shop had told me they were a "fully vegan" shop. Was that person confused, and meant to say "vegetarian"? Got me thinking -- was the sausage I ate actually vegan? Was the scone vegan? :(

Pros: centrally located, luminous space, lots of seating over three levels

Cons: vegan/vegetarian confusion, long wait + cold food

All the food there is vegan! The only dairy they have is milk and butter, probably they made a mistake serving you the dairy butter.

Over hyped?

Had several people recommend this place to me but what I had was under flavoured and a bit boring. Had expected better, but could have just been an off dish or day.

Pros: All vegan , Central location , Variety of choices

Cons: My food was bland, More expensive than anticipated , No table service

Hearty and delicious

This is a cafeteria-style restaurant where you pick up your meal in line and then pay and then find a table. It's not fancy, but the food is hearty and delicious. and 100% vegan. Multiple options including salads and mains. Would definitely go back.

Pros: Hearty and tasty vegan food, Several options, Can make a reservation for a table

Cons: Cafeteria-style

All vegan!!

This place was overwhelming with options. I got one of the mains which comes with two salads!! When I asked if the main was vegan the server said it’s all vegan!! I have submitted an update to HappyCow because it was labelled as vegetarian.

Pros: So many yummy and healthy options

A bit disappointed…

Really good veg restaurant but unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that it's not dog friendly, especially because as a veg restaurant it should accept animals as well as people are accepted. The ethics of veg consists precisely in making the idea that everyone living beings are the same and therefore I found this choice a bit hypocritical. I hope they understand my point of view and improve the situation, thanks!
