Sandwiches and more

We had the Zaalook sandwich (eggplant and peppers) which was phenomenal. The sandwich was on fresh bread, which made it the perfect mix of oily, chewy, salty and flavorful. I had called ahead to ask whether it was vegan, and when we arrived, they remembered my call. The owner suggested we order one sandwich with a side of soup, which they also confirmed was vegan. I believe it was a pea soup, subtle and earthy, and fantastic for a chilly day. The sandwiches came out with delicious tangy harissa. They also confirmed the Green O'Bneen was made with coconut milk, not dairy, and would be another option for vegans. Cannot wait to come back and try it!
