Nice place, great people but the food is way below par. especially for a restaurant that specializes in vegan food.

As a vegan who loves to cook, I know what food is out there and how good we can make the food.
The non-vegans will have a stereo-type idea about vegan food, and that get's confirmed with the food we ate here.
With more and more people getting aware of the vegan movement, or with a healthier way of life. A vegan specialist restaurant, should do it's utter most best to create mind blowing dishes (they don't even have to be complex, but asking for a burger, serve it a on a burger bun, with a good mix/balance of fresh produce and some vegan cheese.. instead of a warm-ish tahine saus and a salty/sour slice of bread. For the quinoa salad; it should be cold, when cooked added some salt or other herbs that give taste to the quinoa and a way higher ratio (2:2, max 3:2) then what we had (maybe 5:1))
Definitely will pass by again to have a new look at the menu, and try out a dessert or just have a drink.
Pros: vegan!, friendly staff
Cons: long waiting times, to stereotype (from meat eater perspective)

Best burger ever, wonderful staff! - Edit
My partner and I went to De Herbivoor and had an amazing time! The mungbean and sweet potato burger with lemon tahini sauce was the best burger I've ever had! My partner had a hummus sandwich which was also great. The staff (probably the owners) were so friendly and even gave us some recommendations for bars in the evening.

The place is super cool. The hosts are brilliant. I would eat there every day if I could for the food, the company, the coffee! Just great homemade food. Filling and hearty and delicious.

What a brilliant place! Amazing location and very cozy ambience. We had a great meal, and my omni friend also really enjoyed it :) very filling with great sized portions and a number of options! The staff were also lovely. I'm looking forward to my next visit! 5 stars for sure
