A health food store (with some discount clothes and shoes) that offers a wide variety of vegan food items, snacks, supplements, and personal care items. Most items are at discounted prices. Open Mon-Sat 10:00am-5:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-5:00pm.
LOVE this place. A lot of the more expensive vegan ingredients (coconut milk, vital wheat gluten, etc) can be found cheap here. Great for vegans on a budget.
Shopping here can be hit or miss, but is so worth it when it’s a hit. I often look here first for any shelf staples, from bathroom to kitchen. The products are sometimes past date and marked down for that, and I’ve never had something here that was bad when opened. Some of my favorite finds that have been less cost than other local places are vegan salad dressings, Bragg’s, cleaners and feminine products, chips and snacks, and nut butters.
Every time I’m in NoHa, this is my first stop. Every. Time. The prices and selection here are incredible. One side of the store is weird discount clothing and shoes and what not, but the rest of it is a changing assortment of healthy snacks, foods, drinks, shampoo, you name it. It’s kinda like Big Lots in the way that you never really know what will be there as it seems many products are cast-offs, overstock, or about to expire, but the prices are insane. Depending on what they have, you could get 10 for $1 snack bars, 3 bags of Dandies for .99, or three bags of chips for the price of one. Plus less expensive boxes of vegan Mac and cheese, staples like tea and pasta sauce, and tons of other shelf-stable items (no refrigerated or frozen stuff, though). If you need snacks or meal ingredients, you simply must go here. Trust me.
