So many flavors! - Edit
Everything is vegan, but none of it tastes “obviously vegan”. Their Boston cream filling is just how I remember Boston cream tasting! And they had some cake donut options! Their prices were fair for the quality imo, and even cheaper if you get a dozen. Long lines, they might sell out of donuts early!

Best. Donuts. Ever. - Edit
Run, don’t walk, to donut run. The fall flavors are incredible: pumpkin pie, apple cider, maple blueberry—to name just a few. These are the best donuts I’ve ever had, easy. 🙌🍩

Check IG for daily selection - Edit
I go to Donut Run to much. I go so much that we often do a 4 mile donut run ahead of popping into donut run to balance out the fact that I proudly buy a dozen basically every time I go.
Read moreI hate when people say "wow this doesn't taste vegan" because vegan food can be just as good or bad taste-wise as non vegan food, but seriously, I take people all the time and they say it's the best donuts they've had (and follow up with sentence above).
My favorites are the creme Brule (which they have seldomly), Cow tail, the cinnamon buns, fritters and the jam filled donuts. The Homer is a simple classic.
They post on ig every day, so you can check what flavors they have that day. They run out of flavors, so go early if you want to make sure you're not stuck with choice of the last 3 available.

Holy Smokes! - Edit
Absolutely fantastic vegan donuts! So many great selections that you are bound to find something. I am not a donut person in the slightest, and I never have been. But this place has really done a great job. I got the mango & coconut donut and the creme brulee donut. Service is super fast and workers are very kind.

My favorite place - Edit
I have a major sweet tooth and doughnuts are my favorite. They have so many flavors and they're all amazing. The lemon/lime one was incredible. I'm in love with the apple fritters. All the maple flavors are so good. I can't recommend coming here enough!

scrumptious donuts - Edit
amazing vegan yeast donuts, as well as some cake donut options. Sooo delicious! No indoor seating, and only 6 people allowed inside at a time so a line often forms outside. Come early for the full selection!

Truly a unique find - Edit
This is the only place you can get remotely real vegan donuts, as well ones that are beyond simple. Being able to get a Boston Cream filled one is just heaven.

Amazing Glazed Donuts - Edit
These are the best vegan glazed donuts I've ever had, 5 stars for those, but flavors that aren't fully glazed aren't quite on that same level IMO. I go out of my way to hit up Donut Run whenever I'm in the area but I've gotten there too late and had them be sold out more than once.

Consistently amazing, best donuts in DC - Edit
My boss used to get these for my office and everyone loved them and said things like "wow, can't believe they're vegan". I've loved all the ones I've tried - they have such a good variety and they are so fluffy. I was surprised by how much I loved the cake donuts especially - ugh, the blueberry pancake cake donut, so good!

Too many to choose from - Edit
Donut Run has amazing donuts - but the number of options is what really sets them apart. They have an oclverwhelming number of options each day, and the flavors cycle so they always have something new to try.

I’m a donut Sunday regular now 🍩🍩🍩 - Edit
I come here every week now to try out the new seasonal flavors, and every time they’ve been a hit! I’m always happy to give patronage to any vegan restaurants in town, and I recommend Donut Run to anyone with a sweet tooth. The Boston Cream Pie donut in particular was a crowd favorite when I ordered a dozen last time. There tends to be a bit of a line on the weekends, but these bad boys are worth the wait.

Excellent donuts! - Edit
We've had the donuts from Donut Run a couple of times and have never been disappointed; the donuts are great, and the shop offers a wide variety from which to choose. Family favorites: the Oreo, Boston Cream Pie and the French toast. Only downside is that at more than $3 per donut, these donuts are something of a luxury item.

New favorite! - Edit
We are so lucky to have such a high quality vegan donut shop nearby that is entirely plant-based. Service here is great, though they are always busy on the weekends I've visited. Have tried the Boston Cream, raspberry filled, DC Crumb, blueberry-lemon, cinnamon bun, and French Toast - all were excellent but the Boston Cream was my favorite. Get there early!

Love - Edit
All vegan donuts. Lots of flavors. When I visited donut flavors included: maple/blueberry pancake, French toast, vanilla frosted with sprinkles, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, chocolate coconut, raspberry jam (filled), Snickers, vanilla frosted with chocolate chips, and a couple others. I bought chocolate frosted with sprinkles, vanilla frosted with chocolate chips, raspberry jam, and Snickers. All were excellent but something about the simplicity of the vanilla/chocolate chip made it my favorite. Not sure what’s going on with their Instagram updates as it’s been a while since they’ve been active. Less than 5 minute walk from Takoma Metro Red Line.

These donuts were seriously amazing. I got a sampling (of course): cinnamon sugar, boston cream, french toast, and maple blueberry. The boston cream donut was seriously spot on, i havent had one in so many years, but it tastes just the way i remember them. The donuts were all fresh and delicious tasting, and i wish i had places like this near me!!
